Felix sat in the motel on the bed, it was late in the middle of the night. She couldn't sleep, she knew Sam was awake too but he didn't make it obvious,
"Lix", she turned to see Dean sitting up, "hey", he caressed her cheek. She leaned into it,
"What's wrong? Can't sleep", he asked softly. Felix nodded as he sighed pulling her into his side,
"It's almost four, come on. Try to get some sleep", he says as Felix snuggled into him.
She felt him kiss her temple before she was asleep in a matter of seconds.

Felix lay under Dean's arm who slept on his stomach still asleep. The sound of a door creaking open alerted Dean who sees Felix was slightly snoring. He reaches for the gun under his pillow> The door slams shut,
"Morning Sunshine", Sam says but Dean groans tossing the extra pillow at him with a hush.

"What time is it?", he asked.

"Uh, it's about 5:45", Sam replied.

"In the morning", Dean complained being careful not to wake Felix, "Yep", Sam smiled.

"Where does the day go?", Dean grumbled sitting up, "Did you get any sleep last night?", he asked.

Sam nodded,
"Yeah, I grabbed a couple of hours", he lied.

Dean groaned, "Liar- -cause I was up at 3:00, and you were watching a George Foreman Infomercial", he looked up at Sam.

Sam shrugs,
"Hey, what can I say? It's riveting TV", he says.

Dean frowned,
"When was the last time you got a good night's sleep?", he questioned.

"I don't know, a little while, I guess. It's not a big deal", Sam plays it off.

"Yeah, it is", Dean scoffed.

"Look, I appreciate your concern", Dean cut him off, "I'm not concerned about you. It's your job to keep my ass alive and Felix, so I need you sharp...", Dean eyes him up, "Seriously, are you still having nightmares about Jess?", he asked.
Sam sighed walking over to his side of the bed and taking a seat, handing a coffee cup to him,

"Yeah, but it's not just her. It's everything. I just forgot you know? This job- -man, it gets you", he says. Dean takes a sip of his coffee,
"You can't let it. You can't bring it home like that", he softly says taking another sip.

"So, what? All this- -it never keeps you up at night?", Sam asked to which Dean shook his head,
"Never?", he repeated.

"You're never afraid?", Sam questioned.

"No, not really", Dean responds with a shake of his head. Sam scoffed reaching under Dean's pillow gently not to wake Felix and pulling out a large hunting knife and holding it as evidence,
"That's not fear", Dean retorts, "That is precaution".

Sam nodded,
"Would you say the same for Felix?", he says to which Dean frowned opening his mouth but couldn't form words.
"Exactly. Fear", he stated, "Anyways, I'm too tired to argue", Sam says.
The phone rang causing Felix to stir awake. She stretched with a yawn as Dean was on the phone with someone. Sam smiled handing her coffee and thanked him before taking a sip.
She hummed satisfied at the taste. Dean hung up the phone, kissing Felix good morning,

"We might have a case", he said taking out his duffel and changing his clothes. Felix did the same while brushing her teeth,
"Lix, you remember poltergeist man, right?", Dean asked watching as she put a sweater on. Felix nodded tying up her hair,
"Yeah, that was a good case", she smirked turning around. Dean shook his head before kissing her. Pulling back they smiled at each other before hitting the road.
