Talking
Direct MemoryI stood at the front of the dinning hall again, just before the feast. Students sat patiently waiting as I watched the last few walk in and sit. Before they were to start eating I would have to tell them how and where they would get their schedules. Which would simply consist of a letter being sent to each dorm room with the correct schedule.
"Welcome students." I spoke as the hall hushed and quieted down. "Before breakfast I'd like to explain that classes start tomorrow."
Adencade stood from his seat next to me to finish. "Each student will be sent there schedule at lunch time. Look it over because you will only have a week to decide if you'd like to change any courses"
Adencade always announced this part of classes. I on the other hand would be sending the letter either by owl, cat or spell. As Adencade took his seat again signifying he was finished I spoke again, this time from my seat.
"Let the feast begin!" I lifted my wand and did a quick spell which alerted a bell.
Of course not how Dumbledore had done so but rather, we took in free elves and offered them jobs, for real gallons and real cloths. For those who wanted to learn they were allowed to join a new course after school hours on certain days with Mione and I. The house elf's all drifted into the room, some holding large platters others holding two or three platters. They filed in between each table took a moment and then quickly slid the silver domes onto the tables, disappearing just as they had appeared.
I waved my wand once again and each lid lifted up into the air and shone gently by the candle lights. Most of the first year students hesitated before following suit of the others. As I ate I heard shuffling to my right as Adencade stood and Hermione took his place. They swapped completely as Adencade moved a few seats down with a 'good luck' looks and took Hermione's seat.
I sighed as she leaned toward me about to speak- "Mione I chose best for the students."
She stopped, looking puzzled and then sipped her tea as she watched the students. "Does that mean you chose Midley Anssler because you don't trust Malfoy enough." She glanced to me.
I stayed quiet for longer than I should have seeing as she looked surprised as though she got it right. I shook my head 'No' and kept my eyes on the students and my plate. Cutting my bildroy steak carefully.
"I decided on Malfoy because he was the more academically inclined for the job."
I spoke at though not wanting too. Because I didn't want to talk about this right know or at all. She gave a high scoff keeping her eyes on the corner of my own and then snatched my gilded tarts. I quickly looked to her in surprise.
"Makes sense, you've always tried to put others before yourself." She smiled obviously happy with my choice.
The smirk she held annoyed me. She new from the start I would chose Malfoy. I in fact wrote the letter this morning, though I didn't send it. Hesitantly I continued with my meal and Hermione chuckled as she placed her cup back to the table.
"You didn't actually send the letter yet have you?" Hermione looked at me and I avoided her gaze. "Have you?" Again she asks.
I shake my head. "No I haven't. I wrote it though!" I exclaimed to Hermione.
"Why does this remind me of you and Ron writing essays." She laughed then pinched the bridge of her nose.
"It's not the easiest thing to just invite your enemy to work with you Mione."
