CHAPTER I: WHO IS HE?
Finally it was the last day of vacation, the sight of the busy people crowding on the streets were seen everywhere, probably having last hour shopping and enjoying the last day of being free from school activities and responsibilities. The sun was slowly disappearing in the horizon resulting into a mixture of blue, white and orange color in the west side of the vast sky.
He was leaning at the edge of his car's passenger seat while his eyes were glancing outside. His earphone was tucked in his ears, listening different songs making him at ease.
For normal people the scenery he had witnessed that day was truly wonderful that photojournalists would line up to take a picture of it and create an article about it in famous magazines. Unfortunately, it was the opposite of his perspective.
For him, it's boring and irritating that all he wanted was to go home and read a book. He really can't appreciate the things from the real world except for his school and his Dad's properties where he can spend most of his leisure time alone.
Being alone in a corner or with his family is the greatest scenery that he always wanted to see, but with a complete family, that seemed impossible.
He was about to close his eyes when he caught sight of an old woman struggling to walk carrying three paper bags in one hand and the other holding a medium-sized basket.
She stopped at a bench to rest for a moment, looking lethargic and was about to collapse. Even though he was not used in going out in that kind of environment, a part of his mind was telling him to help the old woman. No matter how hard it was for him, he must.
"Ajhussi, please slow down I have something to do." he said while removing his earphones.
"But Sir, your older brother is waiting for you. We must go home on time." Donghae, his butler said as he took a glance at his watch.
"Please let me slip this time Ajhussi." He pleaded. "When you arrive home, please tell Hyung I'll be back after an hour. I'm sorry. I really need to go, Bye Ajhussi."
"But Sir..."
He immediately closed the car's door disregarding what his Ajhussi might say and the idea of being reprimanded again by his older brother. Why does an old woman will go shopping alone at this hour?
The old woman held her temples, her vision was spinning. All of a sudden a cute blond-haired teenage boy appeared in front of her breathing heavily, checking on her like she was about to die. At first, he hesitated to ask her, but after seeing her in pain, he breathed and decided to speak.
"Uhh... G-Grandma, are you alright? You look pale." He bent his head. That was the first time he talked to a complete stranger. He's contemplating on whether it is the right thing to do or not and the fact that he couldn't trust and talk to any stranger in an instant.
The old woman does not seem that she heard him so he just sat beside her. Judging from the look in her face, he felt that she was hurt somewhere and she kept on whining. He gently massaged her back.
"Just stay here Grandma. I'll buy you some medicines. Just rest for a while, I'll be back quick." He ran until he reached the nearest pharmacy in the place, bumping into people and hearing their complaints but he just shrugged it off. That's not his primary objective anyway.
When he arrived, He reached for the old woman's hand and placed the bottled water and medicine on her palms.
"Thank you son" She said before drinking. He just nodded while rubbing his numbed legs because of the long distance run. "What's your name?"
