CHAPTER 3: SMILE

The sun was smiling brightly in the wide blue sky. A mass of birds were singing and dancing on the branches of trees performing their imaginary musical theater. The beeping sound of cars and school vehicles continued to roam the city and students started to occupy most of the streets.

His little sister often call him a slow moving mammal for the move like a girl very conscious about her looks that's why she forced him to join her and go to school together. No excuses, he knew well that his dongsaeng was very aware and time conscious when it comes to school schedules so as much as possible she doesn't want to attend her classes late.

His peanut butter sandwich was clipped between his lips while holding a chocolate drink bottle in his left hand. If she didn't drag him, her hyung was probably behind schedule again.

Some students gave Luhan weird looks as they passed by them and all he wanted was to be swallowed by the ground at that moment. He probably look like an endorser of snacks in the streets and then after a few strolls, would distribute flyers for interested customers. Yeri, on the other hand was trying hard to suppress the urge of laughing out loud.

"Yah, what are you doing?" He asked her with a bewildered look. She can't stop it anymore so she burst out laughing as loud as a police siren in full volume.

"Hey, are you crazy? Laughing without reason?" His brows creased in dismay, still having no idea in her sudden change of mood.

"Nothing Oppa, don't mind me. Hurry, my teacher must be waiting for me now. After all, I'm his favorite student." She chuckled changing the topic and mocking at the same time.

"You're being too far ahead of yourself. Don't be confident, what if there's a sudden change of things. No one knows what will happen next." He smirked trying to know how she will react to it.

"Okay, thanks for encouraging me Oppa. I thought you're in my side but it seems like you're against me now." She pouted as she spilled her words with sarcasm.

She's being sensitive over again. It wasn't his intention to hurt her feelings but he felt guilty inside.

"I was just joking, I'll treat you a bubble tea later. I promise, so cheer up okay?" He patted her head and hugged her as they passed the gates. Upon hearing his brother's words, a smile instantly replaced her pouting gesture as her brother skittered away.

Sometimes he transforms into a heroic character that always saves her in times of trouble but often transforms into an arrogant villain pestering her awesome days. Despite the said evolution, she's very lucky to have such an annoying but a loving and caring brother like him, a multi-functioning individual as well.

"Yeri!" She's certain it's her best friend's voice so she shifted her gaze at her back. Her hair was blond the last time she saw her and it turned into color black again, she looked beautiful most specifically when she's wearing her unique curved smile." Hello Seulgi, Good Morning."

Seulgi giggled and hugged her tight. "Good Morning, I miss you very much."

"Hey Seulgi, I can't breathe, Are you planning to kill me now? You're bad." She felt relieved that her best friend immediately remove her hands around her, if not there's a high possibility that she will die of suffocation.

"Of course not, I'm just happy because I got to see you again. So how's vacation?"

"Still the same, I spend my time fooling my brother." She laughed upon remembering his brother being a scaredy-cat yesterday night. "How's yours?"

"We spend a month in Japan and we visited 'Wizarding World of Harry Potter' at Universal Studios in Osaka." Seulgi said in a boastful manner, she knew that it was one of her dreams to go there.
