CHAPTER 5

It's been a year since Alison ran away, but she doesn't know that she'll be by my side again. I haven't heard any news about her, I just know she's back home. As long as she is with her father, it is impossible for me to reach her, because her security has been increased.

"LUCAS!" Lorenzo started shouting.

"What happened?" I asked him.

"Alison's dad is on TV. Come quickly."

"Coming!" I answered.

"Mr. Black, how does it feel to finally be with your daughter, and are you proud of your daughter for creating her own brand, for having her own company?" A journalist asked him.

"Where is your daughter now? Is there a man in her life? What are her plans for the future?" The journalist asked him a question again.

I hope she doesn't have a man in her life because he might disappear soon, she's only mine. I will remain calm.

"She is where she needs to be, if I answer all these questions, then you will know everything about her, but I am not crazy to introduce her to the whole world and put her in danger, and all her life I am guarding her. One day if she decides to introduce herself to all of you, that's her business, but she must be aware of danger that comes with that." He answered him.

Where are you Alison? Your father hides you so well from the world and mostly from me, but I will find you.

I left the office, and headed towards the room to get ready to go to the office. I have so much work to do that I don't know where to go first. After a short drive, I arrived at my company.

"Good morning Mr. Vennetti." My assistant Dea greeted me. She is a very good girl. She likes to work, and she is obedient, which is very important to me, because I run a big business, and I have to have good workers by my side, but of course, above all, that I can trust them.

"Morning." I said hello and went to my office.

I've been sitting all day signing some papers, I've had lunch, then I'm going to dinner with my boys, I hope I'll find Alison soon. I know she hates me, and I know even more that she is very afraid of me, because of everything I did to her. I want to fix it, because I love her. She doesn't know that I'm in the mafia.
