Hanahaki is a fictional disease where when someone has a One Sided love they're lungs grow flowers. The flowers will continue to grow until the host has confessed their feelings to their crush. But other things can happen because the disease can kill you. As well as surgically removed. But when it is removed surgically the host will lose its feelings of Love.
This trope has originated in Japan. No one knows the first occurrence Hanahaki has appeared. This trope is often seen in Fan Fiction AUS (Alternative Universe's).
