[Orange Steve's POV]
"So... how's the little guy doing?" Funny asks me as they walk out of the gazebo, after teleporting.
"Sabre's doing better, pretty sure whatever Nightmare stuck him with yesterday will wear off completely soon... or was that the other day, since we were stuck there for 24 hours...?" I say.
"Probably the second one, to be honest." Happy says.
My two friends are visiting because I need them to watch over the Hub while I'm gone, visiting Indigo again. He might know something about how to help with Sabre's arm... well, probably not, but it's my best shot.
I don't feel comfortable just leaving Sabre here while he's asleep, and because of what happened with Nightmare. So, I asked Funny and Happy to watch everything while I was gone. They seemed pretty excited to, probably because they've been saying that they wanna spend more time with Sabre. I don't blame him, he's fricken adorable.
"Alright, you guys remember all of the rules right?" I ask once I finish explaining.
"Yep!" Happy smiles.
"You got it." Funny adds, giving a thumbs-up.
"Good." I say, walking over to the gazebo so I can teleport. "No shenanigans while I'm away, either."
"We knoooow." Happy and Funny both say, laughing.
I smile as I start to teleport, knowing them. They'll probably start some shenanigans anyway.

[Sabre's POV]
...
...Hm. Dreaming again. Been a while since that's happened.
I'm in what looks like a little kid's playroom, Origin playing with tiny be next to a toy box. Alaric walks into the room, and we both look up.
"Okay, they should be here soon." Alaric smiles. "I'm so excited for my friends' sons and Sabre to meet, I'm sure they'll hit it off pretty soon."
"And I'll watch over them as they play, and be careful of Sabre's condition." Origin says, smiling back.
Suddenly, toddlers' laughter fills the hall outside of the room. Alaric seems excited.
"That must be them, wait here." Alaric says as he walks out.
A few minutes later, he comes in with two other adults behind him. And right behind them, are two blonde-haired other little kids. They're excitedly playing with each other, what looks like tag, as they run around each of their parents.
"Well, they're excited, aren't they?" Alaric chuckles.
"This playdate is all Ryan has been babbling about all morning." One of the other adults says, looking at the two.
"Same with Lucas; He's never been this talkative before." The other adds.
The two kids suddenly notice tiny me and Origin, and rush over. After a bit of toddler-babble questions, poking, and I guess introductions, tiny me and the two other kids are playing with each other while Origin happily watches over us. The three adults all talk to each other as this happens.
"See, I told you they'd hit it off." Alaric says.
"Aw, look at all of them. They look so happy!" One of the parents, who tuned out to be Ryan's mom, coos.
"It's been a while since he's been so social with a new kid..." The other parent, Lucas' dad, says. "Heck, it's been a while since he's been so social with anyone, with that stupid mob of camera people that keep scaring him. Since the paparazzi keep being turned away from here, they've been harassing us about the upcoming talk event with you."
"Ugh- are you serious?" Alaric sighs. "Why can they never just leave us all alone..."
"Hey, it's alright Al. We're used to it by now." Ryan's mom says. "In fact, I've been finding it pretty entertaining to mess with them. Just yesterday, I clocked one of them good with a kiwi."
That makes the adults laugh.
"You and your usual antics, Destry." Lucas' dad says.
"You're one to talk, Cypher." Alaric adds. "I know about the thing with the potato cannon, and your engineering shenanigans."
"What? They wouldn't get off my lawn, and my wife just planted flowers there." Cypher chuckles. "Had to defend the property somehow."
"Heh. I'd have the same reaction, honestly." Destry laughs.
"Except you'd probably make a thing that looks like a flamethrower but shoots fart spray if you knew how, knowing you." Alaric says.
That gets another laugh out of the group, while Origin looks up at them for a second.
"Adults are strange..." He says quietly.
"Wight?" One of the visiting toddlers, the one named Ryan, says. "Hey, ever seen a kiwi splat on a wecording camera? It was weally cool, like slime hitting a window."
"...And toddlers are stranger." Origin laughs a bit.
The dream fades to white, as more sounds of laughter and kids playing together ring in my ears.

I wake up to the sound of someone entering the house, and I sit up.
"Heya, little buddy!" I hear Funny call out.
"Shh, he might still be asleep. It's pretty early." I hear Happy say.
"Nah, I'm awake, hang on!" I say, jumping out of bed and happily rushing down the stairs. "Hey guys!"
I jump up and attempt to give Happy a hug, though I don't jump that high and end up hugging his leg. Happy chuckles and picks me up, giving me an actual hug.
"Hey there, and good morning! How's my favorite little squish?" Happy asks, smiling.
"Hey, my turn!" Funny laughs.
Happy hands me to Funny, and I give him a hug two. Once greetings are over, Funny puts me down and I look up at both of them.
"What's up?" I ask. "You guys don't usually visit."
"Oh, Orange had to go and visit Indigo again, and you know how long he takes getting there and coming back." Happy explains. "He asked us to watch over you and the Hub while he was gone."
"He gave us rules, but let's be honest here..." Funny says, smirking. "We're not gonna follow them."
I giggle, and so does Happy. Spending a day with two of my other best friends that aren't as much of rule-followers?
"Heck yeah." I say, smiling. "This is gonna be fun."
Happy smiles again and ruffles my hair, while Funny walks into the small area that Orange made into a kitchen, next to the storage room.
"First though, Orange told us you probably would want something to eat." Funny says, opening the storage room door. "So, you can get some food first, and then we can have some fun outside."
As I happily walk over, excited for food, I suddenly realize I haven't eaten anything since before Nightmare kidnapped me and Orange. How in the heck did I not realize how hungry I am sooner? I haven't had anything for over a day, and that hasn't happened since before I got here!
Oh well, food first, fun later, and questions after that.
