The swarms of children clambered quickly out of the train, rumours flying around already of those who were attending the school this year. As Cressida handed over Hades to a staff member, she span quickly, looking for her new collection of friends to prevent losing them on route to the school as she wanted to sit with them on the boat journey that Caspian had told her about. Cressida hated water. The girl heavily envied her older brother as he was now at the age of being allowed to board the carriages into school whereas she was encouraged to ride in an old and awful rickety boat. One students icy blonde hair stuck out like a sore thumb within the masses of children, causing a smile to fall onto the young girls face as she quickly cut through gaps to catch up to who she recognised as Draco. "Almost lost you guys! There's way too many people." Cressida laughed, finally reaching them, it looked as if they been looking for her as well due to the vague looks of relief on some of their faces. "Come on Cress, you go in front, we'll be right behind you, the last thing we want is to lose you again." Blaise said, the nickname causing her a little bit of shock as the smile she was wearing never left. They had all changed into their dress robes by now, but she was still incredibly cold out here.

As they followed a giant man, Lorenzo fell in step with her on the left and Theodore on her right, it was as if she had her own personal bodyguard crew as she was surrounded by her new friends. They engaged in light conversation, meaning she learned about lots of things, ranging from Lorenzos favourite colour to 'The best chicken soup ever' that Theo and his mother made. Her eyes rolled as they walked down the steep hill, finally spotting the boats. Unconsciously, her movements slowed, hesitant to approach what looked like 3 shitty pieces of wood nailed together. Despite this, she was made to climb aboard, taking a seat on the middle bench, which to her felt the safest rather than the front or back. Draco and Blaise had seen two of their childhood friends, so left to go sit with them on the boat, which made sense- there was hardly space for 4 children on one boat, let alone 5. Still, Enzo took the front bench claiming he wanted 'the best view', Theodore taking the back- leaving a gap for Mattheo next to Cressida.

As the boats began to move, the young girls hand grabbed tightly onto the side of the boat. "What's wrong?" Mattheo asked her, quietly though, to prevent any eyes drawing to her when she wasn't seemingly okay. "Don't like the water, scares me." She muttered back, feeling the boat wobble slightly. "Are you excited for Hogwarts? My brother told me all about Defence Against The Dark Arts, I've heard that's supposed to be very interesting." Mattheo said, confusing her, considering he just completely changed the topic, she huffed- completely unaware of the reason he had done so. "I guess I'm rather excited for Potions, Professor Snape scares me though, I've heard a lot about him before and I feel like he is almost definitely scarier in person." She giggled quietly, thinking about him stalking around the room with his robes flailing about behind him. "But all around I'm really excited, even though I hate school I still feel like I'm going to be happy here." She explained, turning to look at him, almost completely forgetting she was in the water at all.

The water only became apparent to her again when the boat shook beneath them, Lorenzo having shuffled around to look properly at the castle. Cressida was unable to hold in her gasp, her hand finding the arm of the boy next to her, as if that would stabilise her. "You're fine, the boats are enchanted, they wouldn't flip anyway." Mattheo spoke, not really minding the death grip she had on him. "Thanks." She muttered back to him, not moving her hand, he was a good source of heat anyway. The rest of the boat ride was in silence, all four future slytherins just enjoying looking around, up at the castle and at other students (the amount that the four had waved at Draco and Blaise was insane). What turned out to be only a ten minute ride felt like a 30 minute one to Cressida, her overwhelming fear of water not helping at all.
