a/n: I lied ;)
A beam of light shown through from the curtains of the room casted directly onto my face as i lay peacefully on the bed. It woke me up and a weird and familiar aroma appeared in the air. It didn't have the smell my usual room did, and I could notice the difference in an instant.
I strained to get my eyes adjusted to the intense light coming from the drapes. My eyes squinted as my lips parted in irritation and I groaned. My head was aching hysterically as I sat up in the bed, holding it in my hands.
Leaving over the edge of the bed in an effort to grab my phone on the nightstand, I sighed and my brows momentarily creased. My phone was nowhere to be found, where I typically leave it. I relaxed a little and sat back on the bed without giving it much thought.
Now that I was completely awake, I studied my surroundings and saw some little differences. I momentarily froze when I acknowledged that this wasn't my room. I tried to recall how I came to be in this situation, shivers running down my spine. After the date, I can only remember getting into Romano's car and dozing off.
Footsteps moved closer to the room I was in, making the floor beneath bulky boots crack. I was forced out of my thoughts, but remained incredibly puzzled.
My hands moved rapidly up and down my thighs in search of my holster as the footsteps grew closer and louder. I wasn't wearing it.
I also noticed i was in different clothes. The fuck?
Once more looking around the room in search of my thigh holster, my eyes came to rest on it, perched atop the other nightstand directly opposite to me. I jumped out of bed and ran in that direction, only to be met with it empty. My gun and knife were missing from its place.
The footsteps grew louder and nearer. And with it, so did my heart rate.
Frustration slowly began to creep in as I ran my fingers through my hair. I looked in every drawer and nightstand before finding my gun. The sound of the footsteps stopped.
Immediately after hearing the doorknob turn behind me, I flicked the safety off my gun and pointed it at the door in the blink of an eye.
As soon as the door opened, i pulled the trigger.
The bullet barely missed as the person was swift enough to move out of the way.
I go to reload the gun, concentrated on not missing again, only to be met with a stunned Romano.
The gun was leveled with the space between his eyes. My brows scrunched together and I stared at the man in front of me with hooded eyes. He looked somewhere in between frightened and nonchalant.
"Holy fuck Romano. You scared the shit out of me." I say, using my free hand and running it through my hair. I put the safety back on, and set the gun on the nightstand beside the bed.
