The Greatest Love

CHAPTER ONE

Love. Relationship. Heartbreak.

A girl and her love for her mother. One that she never knew about.

A boy and his loving mother. One that he never cherish.

Put two opposites together. What will happen?

Meet Love Jefferson. She's a ball of sunshine. She's hyper, cheerful and friendly. She's sarcastic at times, random and she can never keep still or stop talking.

She's popular in school, always surrounded by people. She knows evryone in school and many people love her because of her really bright personality.

Although she's always surrounded by people in school, it's a different story back at home.

Her mother died giving birth to her and she's left with her father. People assumes she's abused at home and she uses her cheerful personality to hide the fact but sadly, that's not the case. Love is the apple of her dad's eye and she's spoilt by her dad.

Love's dad was heartbroken to hear that his wife didn't make it but he stayed strong. Carrying his precious baby for the first time, he said, "You're the only thing I have left. I'm never going to let you go and I'm going to spoil you rotten, Love."

Even since Love was young, he always share with her stories of her mum. Every night, for sure, her dad will tell her a story of her mum before she sleeps. The stories are what keeps Love's love for her mum going strong. The stories are also what keeps the memories Love's dad has going strong.

Then there's Kian Lee. Figuratively speaking, He has a raining thunderstorm above his head. He's quiet, moody and always angry.

He keeps to himself in school, like a lone wolf. He snaps at anyone who tries to talk to him. Everyone just keeps away from him because of his gloomy personality.

People assumes that he comes from a broken family that's why his personality is so dark but that, sadly, isn't the case as well.

At Kian's home, it is never quiet. With 3 younger brothers and a sister, there is always shouting, squealing, and laughter.

Kian is loved by his family and vice versa. Yet, he never cherishes the love that his mother have for him. Since young, he has this weird thinking that his mum is embarassing.

Every year, without fail, his mum will accompany him to elementary school  for 'Bring your mother to school' Day. Every year, also without fail, his mother will either do or say something that embarassed him. He thinks his mum does it all on purpose. With that thought clouding his mind, he always failed to see how much his mum puts in the effort to make him proud of her.

This is a story of mothers, and love.
