Chapter Four: Aiden

And when the bones go higher and the flames burn it down, don't expect me to catch you. Because I know you will be on the top of the hill.

I will not.

I will not succumb to the rising flames,

Because I know that if I fall,

You won't catch me.

Everything was a blur in Aiden's life—background noise. He couldn't believe it, however when heard the bells toll in unison, he knew that if he won, it would be amazing. 

When both bells ring, the winner of The Trials gets the Crown of Bones and the Crown of Fire. A ruler of two countries, able to join the two warring countries together.

The man had provided him with an opportunity—something that a broken boy like him could dream of. 

"I'll take it."

Three words that changed his life forever. He would no longer be someone that they could forget, move on from when he is discarded. He would be memorable, someone that will stick to their minds.
