Per me si riferisce alla attività lavorativa di Cobain. Così “il mio capo” sarebbe proprio il suo vero vecchio capo.
Cobain però appare confuso: “il nero è nero” (forse il colore della pelle) “eravamo nemici” (coi neri? o col capo?), “ma cosa sono io?”.
Il suo capo sarebbe Jonathan Poneman, proprietario della Sub pop records.
