Grayson POV:
It's way to early to be awake. I think as I grab boxes out of the Uhal truck and carry them to my room. "Boys look at the time" my mom says handing me and Ethan our back packs. I don't k ow why we have to go to school the day we move in, we have so many boxes to unpack and now I'm going to have homework to do. Ethan and I walk to the bus stop and get on the bus. My stomach starts to hurt as my anxiety kicks in. I hate new schools. "Hey, it's gonna be alright" Ethan smiles. I nod smiling back. He can always tell when I'm feeling anxious.
We pull up to the school and get off the bus. "I'm so glad we have first period together" I say to him as we walk into the math classroom. "There are two new students today, Ethan and Grayson Dolan" the teacher said as Ethan and I stood by her desk. "I expect you all to be kind and give them a warm welcome, now Ethan you will sit next to Conner over there" she pointed to a kid who I'm guessing is Conner and he raised his hand. "And Grayson you will sit next to Kennedy" She said pointing to a beautiful girl sitting in the back. The girl raised her hand and I walked over to sit down next to her.
I smiled at her and she smiled back. I look forward and glance down at my lap. Sometimes I hate being a guy. If you know you know. I sigh and cross my hands over my lap. After math I get up and grab my schedule and see Kennedy packing up, this is my chance to talk to her. "Hey um do you know where room 203 is" I ask her "Oh yeah, I'm going there next you can walk with me" she smiles. Her voice is enchanting. I smile and nod. Her and I walk through the hallway talking. "So where did you move from" she asks "kinda all over the place but mostly New Jersey" I say. She smiles "I've always wanted to go there, especially in the winter, I love the snow" she says. I nod, "it gets pretty cold" I laugh. "I bet it does" she laughs.
Kennedy and I had almost the exact same schedule so she helped me to most of my classes. She's so funny and kind. I walk out of the school and see her waiting by a car. I walk over to her and smile."Hey thanks for helping me around today" I said. "Oh it's no problem, I can help you tomorrow if you need" She smiled. I smiled and nodded. "That would be nice" I said. "Grayson let's go" my brother Ethan said walking past us. "I got to go, see tomorrow" I said walking away.
I ran to catch up with Ethan as we got on the bus. "Who was the girl" he asked. "She helped me around the school today" I said. He nodded and pulled out his AirPods. I watched out the window and put my own AirPods in. Ethan and I got home and I instantly went to my bedroom. I got all my homework out and started doing it. Being a Sophomore sucks ass. As I do my homework I wonder if Kennedy Is doing the same.
After finishing my homework Ethan and I unpack the Xbox and hook it up so we can play video games till our mom tells us to unpack the rest of our rooms. Then our mom yelled for us to come downstairs. "She's probably gonna make us unpack something" I said Ethan rolled his eyes "probably, if we have to unpack dishes again she can't get mad if we break some like last time" Ethan said pausing the game. We got up and went downstairs our sisters walking behind us. Ethan and I were messing around as we walked down the stairs then I looked up and saw the beauty I had been thinking about all day. Kennedy.
