Jack walked through the hallways of the Super Rock Villa. The sun slowly rising from the east as his steps became more hurried.
He then opened the door to a particular room.
"I'm not late aren't I, Eruhaben-nim?"
The gold dragon shook his head, "You're just right on time. Follow me."
Eruhaben stood up from his seat, not waiting for Jack to answer as he opened a door full of mana incantations. Jack let out a shuddered sigh before following the ancient dragon inside.
They walked for quite a while before the gold dragon stopped before another door. Eruhaben looks pensive before knocking the door.
"Cale, it's me."
Jack's eyes trembled as he looked at the ancient dragon with questioning eyes. Eruhaben just ignored the saint before opening the door.
It was dark at first before Jack's eyes became fixated at a lone figure at the corner. Eruhaben flicked his fingers to open the lights inside the room.
Jack choked a gasp when he saw Cale slumping against a wall. His usual red hair as the trademark changed into the color of black, thats why Jack was confused at first. Cale's wrists were tied with gold dusts as he stares into nothing.
It looks like as if he's already dead with the way his eyes look so empty.
"You are the only human that came to my mind. You are a Saint of the Sun God, so I think only you can clear the brainwashing of the Demonic Race."
He, a dragon himself who are second to the Gods, can't do anything.
Eruhaben had already tried removing the mask in Cale's face, but it wouldn't budge as he also tried to delve deeper into the latter's mind.
What he saw only scared the ancient dragon.
There was nothing inside Cale's mind but demons bathing in the abyss. They kept Cale's consciousness at bay somewhere in his mind to keep him in control together with his ancient powers.
"I...I will tryㅡno, I will do it. But in return, please tell me everything you know regarding the Young Master's situation, Eruhaben-nim."
Dragons don't bow to anyone, but Eruhaben did as his tone was pleading.
"I will."
It was a long process of trial and error. Cale would sometimes respond with a twitch of a finger, or a single droplet of tear somethimes would fall, making Eruhaben dread of what happened to Cale in a span of month.
There were beads of sweat trickling down the Saint's forehead as his eyebrows scrunched, already tired but still continued his 'healing' to Cale.
It was only until a few hours before Cale looked at them with acknowledgement swirling in his reddish-brown orbs.
"Young Master Cale, can you hear me clearly? Blink twice if you do." Jack instructs softly as he waited for Cale's answer.
Cale blinked twice slowly, as if he's still getting used in controlling the body he regained.
"Do you recognize us, Young Master? Blink twice again if you do, blink once if you don't."
Cale didn't blink, he just stared.
He didn't blink, because he's in the middle of it.
He couldn't recognize them but they are familiar, they are familiar but he couldn't recognize them.
"It's alright Young Master Cale, don't force yourself."
Cale could only frown before nodding, his head drooping again in a pensive way.
