Despite Yu and Mika being childhood friends they had been separated due to the world changing -- people were put into different classes, Mika was put into a higher up one because he was a vampire, Krul Tepes child you could say while Yu was a mere human, put at a lower class. He was meant to serve vampires, so that's how he ended up as Mikas body guard. Yu never minded it, not one bit, but Mika was different. It bugged the boy for a long time, seeing it as unfair. But eventually he had grown to deal with it without complain.
Yu was sitting down in his room, which really wasn't much of a room.. just a mattress with a single blanket on it, the room itself was dull, empty and just plainly boring. He was glad to not have been put into the servants, that was far worse than being a body guard. He had seen how badly everyone treated servants, he felt bad for them, he truly did but there was nothing he could do about it.Yu yawned and stood up, heading over to the door and placed his hand onto the door knob. Taking a deep breath he opened the door and looked down, a change of clothes laid there. It was the same thing he usually wore, a grey T-shirt with black pants, he already had a little amount of armor so no one bothered with bringing that along with the clothes. He picked them up and then closed the door, with a sigh he leaned against the wall, tilting his head back. Jeez.. he really woke up early today, having another 30 minutes to spare before having to go up to see Mika, but he always loved to see the boy -- so that was great!
Yu stared at the clock, tick tick tick.. couldn't it go any faster? Time seemed to go by so slowly whenever he wanted it to go faster, how stupid was that? He stared down at the clothes in his hand then pushed himself away from the wall. After stripping away his sleep clothes he put on the new ones, they weren't too uncomfortable so he was glad about that. He couldn't imagine having to live like royalty, having to wear those itchy looking clothing all the time, even when sleeping. Perhaps the life he lived wasn't so bad after all.
Yu walked over to his mattress and kneeled down, picking up his armor and putting it on. Taking another glance at the clock he noticed about 20 minutes passed. Damnit! He still had 10 more minutes to spare. Why must he have to change so quickly? Then again he couldn't help it.. ah maybe that was a habit he should get out of? Or no.. it was a good habit so he should keep it. At least he hoped it was a good habit.
After what felt like forever it was time for Yu to head upstairs and see Mika. He opened the door, there was a loud creak.. a very loud one. It could be heard from upstairs, why did it have to creak everytime he went to open it -- okay well not every time but most of the time! Yu started to walk up the stairs, you could hear a faint creaking noise coming from them, everytime he took a step it was heard. He knew that this place was old -- but damn was there a tone of things that needed fixing. Maybe that was normal? The place might be in perfectly fine state, after all it looked fine from the outside and upstairs. It was just the basement that looked old and broken down. Probably because it was meant for the people with little worth...
Once Yu arrived upstairs he walked down the hallways, in search of Mikas room. He scanned down the rooms and stopped at the one that held Mika. He allowed himself to smile slightly then knocked one the door. "Mika~!" Yu was beaming with joy, you could tell by his tone. After a few seconds passed the door flung open, nearly hitting him. "Hey! Watch it, that could've hit me, idiot!" Yu huffed. "Shut up and come inside will you?" Mika muttered. "Eh..? You seem bugged." Yu's smiled dropped as he walked into the room, shutting the door behind him. "I'm fine, you're overreacting." Mika sighed. "You're right! I should remember how dramatic you act..." Yu smiled. "I'm not dramatic, you just..." Mika started to say. "You just?" Yu interrupted. "Quit cutting me off for once jeez.." Mika grumbled. "Sorry sorry.. but seriously what's gotten you upset?" Yu asked. "Its nothing really.. I'm not upset." Mika replied, in a monotone. Yu replied with a sigh, not knowing what else he could say back to the other.
He just.. really wanted to understand the other better. He's known Mika for years yet still doesn't know much about the boy at all. Why was that? Did Mika not trust him enough? Or was it just that Yu wasn't important enough? But no.. that couldn't be it -- Yu knows how much Mika cares for him, so then what was it?
