THIRD PERSON'S POV

"Hana dul set!" The game started, and everyone was trying to survive the game, and not get hit by the ball. The school gym was filled with girls screaming their lungs out for their chosen player. Just now, their teacher let them have fun with themselves.

"Kim Janggun! Out!" the president of the class shouted.

"Next player is..." they all wonder who's last in line and looked at the girl wearing glasses examining the floor, and they sighed in disbelief.

"Ah, don't expect guys. We can't win." she heard someone beside her whisper. They all walked away and returned to the audience seat. She's the only player alive on their team, while the opposing team has 3 players left.

"A-ah can I-i just give my chance t-to Janggun?" she asked trying not to look at anyone. Everyone stayed silent, so she won't have a choice but to join the game. Looking at the floor while walking in the middle, the president whistled which indicates that the game has started.

Not trying to dodge, she fell to the ground as soon as the ball hit her. Her eyeglass broke.

"That fast? Did she not know how to dodge?" she heard someone from behind. No one helped her and everyone left.

"Hey! Where do you think you're going?!" A man shouted when she was about to leave the gym. She looked at him wearing her broken glasses.

'The guard... Again. Why does he always come right on time.'

"Don't you ever think of going somewhere, you need to clean this mess!" he says referring to the balls scattered throughout the gym.

"But sir, I will be late for our next class."

"No! You can leave once you gather all these. You always have your excuse, I don't care if you'll be late. You have to clean this." The guard insists. This has been a usual situation for her whenever her classmates were playing. In the end, she has to clean after them.

"But sirㅡ" she was cut off. This time the guard is getting irritated and walked toward her.

"Minatozaki Sana, right? Do you think I do not know your name? I can report you right away!" he said trying to blackmail her.

"No, sir" she then started to pick up the balls when the guard glared at her and walked away. She's about to cry but she was trying to control herself. She doesn't want her eyes swollen when she gets back to her room, or else she'll be teased even more.

"Sana, it's good. Good days will come." she whispers cheering herself.

It's been a year since everyone started to bully her. At first, her classmates adore her for being cute, she also has a lot of friends but they all turned their backs when they heard the rumor that she had undergone plastic surgery. She told them that it's just a rumor and that she naturally look like that. But they all started to bully her, verbally and sometimes physically. From being bubbly she became distant. She lost all her friends, and as time passes her situation is getting worse. She was considered an outcast, no one wanted to talk to her. And no one wants to take her side.

'It's been a year and still, I can't get used to it'

"Do you need help?" she heard someone ask. She look for who is it coming from and saw a girl sitting on the bench watching her.

"M-me?" pointing at herself.

"Yes, who else do you think is here?" the girl chuckled at Sana's silliness. She picked up the ball in front of her and passed it to Sana.

"Catch! Let me help you" the girl said smiling at her.

'What should I do? Should I smile back? What if she's trying to befriend me and then bully me?' she thinks, worried that she'll end up hoping for a friendship.

"Yah! What are you doing? I'll pick up, you catch." the girl shouted passing the ball to her.

"O-okay"

After gathering everything, they carry the basket side by side and placed it inside the room. They're both covered with sweat from running and almost playing because she always missed catching the balls.

"Sorry, I'm really bad with this kind of stuff."

"Nah, it's fine. I had fun. See you around." the girl says smiling and is about to leave.

"Can I ask, what's your name?!" the girl paused for a second and faced Sana from afar.

"Kim Star!" the girl answered laughing and walking backward.

'Kim star? Is that a real name? Weird.'

"See you around, Kim Star!" Sana undoubtedly shouted waving her hand.

'For the first time, someone talked to me again.' she walked through the hallways smiling like a fool. For her, it was weird because she feels like this time she met someone true. She feels like, their encounter is not a coincidence. She's late for her next class but it seems like she doesn't care anymore. All she thinks is that finally, someone took her side for the first time.

"Let's meet again, Kim Star" she whispered to herself.
