I wake up next zoey she's still clinging on to my side, I look at the time on my watch, it reads 6:15am, I lift up her arm that's over my stomach and lay it on her side. I turn the tv off as it was left on last night, I go to the front door picking up the bag of food that my friend brought for us and it's breakfast burritos. I plate them both on some paper plates, opening my bottled Coke for me and pour a glass of milk for zoey setting the table."zoey babe time to get up"I rub her back and she groans"No come on now you got school in an hour"

"Can't I just miss today? Yesterday was a long day"she groans Into her pillow.

"Babe It was the weekend and yesterday you played all day. So come on I'm gonna go shower since I'm gonna go apply for jobs, if I get out of the shower and your not up I'm pouring water on you"I ruffle her hair and go into the bathroom to shower, I take a 10 minute shower and get out throwing on a black button up with jeans and dress shoes with black suspenders. Walking out of the bathroom I see zoey is in her uniform with her hair still in a messy braid from last night, she's sitting at the table eating her breakfast I go over and redo her hair into another tight braid, she winces as the rubber bands where pulling her hair."their ya go princess"I kiss the top of her head and sit on the other side of her eating my burrito."alright babe come on, I'm gonna walk you to the bus stop."

"Can't you take me you could use mommas car"she whines

"Stop the whining, me and momma arnt talking I'm gonna try and get a job today to get hired on the spot. So I can afford to get a car and everything that we need"I explain and she nods understanding"good now grabs ur book bag and let's go"she picks up her bright pink, almost a pastel color book bag and I lock the door to the house and we start walking down the side walk as it's 6:50. I wait at the bus stop with her and her school bus pulls up "alright babe you have a good day at school"I kiss the top of her head and start to walk off my she grabs me arm tightly making me turn around and look at her.

"Promise me you won't get into more trouble"she says with tears brimming in her eyes

"Baby I promise nothing is going to happen, I love you I will see you once u get dropped off"she puts her pinky out and I wrap my pinky around hers kissing it"I'll see you in 8 hours baby"she gets on the bus and I walk down the side walk.
