SONICJOHNZ's CARTOON ELEMENTARY
Episode 19: Red Ribbon Week
Bugs: (Narration) Ahh, good old Drug Resistance Education. That's all what the Newer School kids talk about and how it links with America's most controversial, highest costing and longest lasting quotation marks "war": The War On Drugs. We didn't have this when I was in school, because in my Generation, the good boys and girls with sensible parents who still hung "Old Glory" out at their porch and the flag was still hanging at the County Courthouse, didn't practice overuse or were encouraged to do it thanks to Resistance Education.
Bugs Jr: Oh, Seriously daddy? You're bringing that up again?
Bugs: I am, because not only were we smarter, but much wiser and went to the moon.
Bugs Jr: (scoffs) Okay, Boomer.
Bugs: And How many times must I tell you to not interrupt while I'm telling my stories?!
Bugs Jr: Oops.
Bugs: Geez Louise, I wonder why you even asked me to tell you about my Cartoon Elementary Experience in the First Place...
Bugs Jr: Because I found the Yearbooks and I was curious! So I asked you to tell me and my siblings about it! And you promised you would!
Bugs: Fair enough. And I did. I was being a bit hypocritical when mentioning my Generation anyways, as we weren't free from Drug Abuse either, and that was mostly during the 70s.
Bugs Jr: Oh. I forgive you then. Please tell me more, I'll only interrupt with questions from now on! I promise.
Bugs: Good. Ahem. (Narration) Anyways... Mr. Rhule invited over a very special Guest in the form of a National Icon.
Percy: I wonder who this icon is! I'm so excited to meet him and make a speech on how we should all resist Drugs!
Thomas: Me too. I hear that he always follows police officers and visits them to make sure they uphold the laws and makes sure our city is safe by sponsoring neighborhood watches.
Chase: He doesn't sound too familiar to me at the moment. When is he coming and when will the Presentation Start?
Connor: In just a minute.
*footsteps are heard, and in came a bipedal Bloodhound Dog wearing a trenchcoat*
Thomas: Our Guest is here! It's...
McGruff: That's Right, Thomas. I'm McGruff the Crime Dog! I'm here to "Take A Bite Out of Crime!"
Yakko: Wow, it's actually him... the Dog who helped spark a change everywhere because of the commercials back in the 70s and 80s.
McGruff: Exactly, Yakko. Today I've come to speak about the Dangers of Drugs, and share my words of wisdom.
Bugs: (Narration) All During the Presentation, and the Week, McGruff the Crime Dog made his speeches at the assemblies, and taught us a great deal about all the dangers that were present with dangerous drugs, and even taught us a cool Song!
(Music: Winners Don't Use)
McGruff: 🎵 Users are Losers, and Losers are users, so don't use drugs, Don't use drugs! Winners aren't users and Users don't win, so don't use drugs, don't use Drugs! If ya know a user, even part of the time, Tell 'em to quit, "take a bite outta crime"! Users are Losers, and Losers are users, so don't use drugs, Don't use drugs! 🎵 (spoken) Okay! Everybody!
McGruff and Students: 🎵 If ya know a user, even part of the time, Tell 'em to quit, "take a bite outta crime"! Users are Losers, and Losers are users, so don't use drugs, Don't use drugs! 🎵
McGruff: Nice Job! Now teach that song to your mother, father, brothers and sisters to help them take a bite out of crime!
Students: 🎵 Don't use Drugs! Yeah! 🎵
