Izuku: .....wha???.....

All might: You must consume my DNA. Its the only way for me to pass on my quirk to you.

The three of them simply stood in place, an awkward silence encircling them. Suddenly y/n let out a laugh that should have been reserved for a manic outburst.

Y/n: Consume your DNA!?! *wheeze* you know how many pubs you can get kicked out of by saying that to someone, especially a girl? The answers all of them *bahhhahahah*

As all mights smile dropped, a bead of sweat ran down his forehead.

All might: young l/n! While I am one for a good laugh, that joke is far to over the line. I would appreciate it if you apologised!

Looking up at all mights disturbed features, y/n felt a pang of guilt in his chest. Sighing, he apologised for his crude joke.

Y/n: Sorry toshi, I didn't realise that would trigger you....

All might: No, dont worry about it, its fi- did you just call me toshi?

Y/n shrugged, scratching the back of his head while grinning.

All might: already feeling comfortable enough to resort to nicknames? I thought it would take longer then that to break you, young l/n.

All mights grin came back full swing, followed by his boisterous laugh. Calming down, he looked back down to izuku and smiled.

All might: go on young midoriya! Eat this!

Hesitating for but a moment, izuku steeled herself and grabbed the strand of hair. Studying it for a moment, she scorfed it down as quickly as she could.

All might: well, how do you feel?

Izuku shrugged.

Izuku: Not that different to be honest. Are you sure it will work.

All might: of course, same thing happened to me. It just takes its time is all. Now, I believe you two have somewhere to be.

Freezing, izuku scrambled to look for a watch. Lazily pulling out his phone, y/n checked the time.

Y/n: ti's about 7:30. The entry test begins in an hour and a half. It's why we came here to begin with, so that toshi could hand over his quirk. We just didn't expect to see you committing genocide on all trash on this beach.

Izuku looked like she just took a steam train to the gut.

Izuku: Y/n-kun, come on! We have to hurry. The school is a fifteen minute walk from my house!

Y/n: relax, I said we had an hour and a half.

Izuku shook her head frantically.

Izuku: That's not the point. I still have to get dressed, then wait for all mights power to manifest. And I don't even know where you live!

Y/n: ......shite....

There was something he needed to grab before heading to the entry test. Him and his uncle had been working on it for the past 10 months. Turning tail, they both said their goodbyes to all might and began sprinting up the hill, disengaging at the top and changing directions to their own houses.

Watching them depart, all might deflated, the smile never leaving his face.

All might: im proud of you kid. Both of you. You'll make fine heroes.
