*Ordon Village*
Link carried Y/N upstairs, stationing her in his bed. Once he got her tucked in, he took the time to observe her true appearance. Link couldn't understand what the adamancy about becoming Hylian was about. Aside from the usual blanched flesh the Twili were infamous for, Y/N looked the same. Twili were known to be quite taller than Hylians. Even Y/N's height was quite normal by their standards.
In the dark of Link's bedroom, the abrasive glow of her markings cast a mock aurora amongst his walls. Midna had mentioned the markings being tribal in nature. There were so many questions he had. Link looked down at your tuckered frame. He wondered how intense the spell that Midna cast upon you was. He remembered the immense toll it took when he transformed into a wolf. The feeling of hair prickling through his follicles. The abnormal shape of his body that contorted downward on all fours. Link shuddered at the memory of the incredible pain. Goddesses knew what it was doing to not only you but Midna as well. Why had she permitted such folly? Midna was always proud of being a Twili. For her to allow one of her own to convert, there had to be a lesson involved in this.
I still don't even know how she made it to this realm. The Mirror of Twilight was destroyed before my own eyes.
Link knew one thing for certain; tomorrow there would have to be a discussion about what the hell just happened. Along with what other secrets Y/N had in store. Oh, and she wants to see Zelda. Link silently pondered how he would tell Ilia. He knew she'd be here tomorrow to go dress shopping. A gorgeous woman sleeping in his bed would not bode well. Still. He couldn't leave Y/N alone. Not when she knows so little of the Realm of Light. Although she did pretty well on her own today.
Link stifled a yawn. He remembered the towels and pillow downstairs. I Guess I can sleep on the couch. Link had work at the ranch tomorrow. He decided after work he would take Y/N to Castle Town once more, this time to encounter Princess Zelda. He'd have to take Ilia dress shopping afterward. Maybe if he explained that it had to do with something in the Twilight Realm, she'd be a little more relaxed.
No, she won't. Link sighed to himself. The sigh elongated into another yawn. Link turned to walk out of the room but stopped short. He glanced over his shoulder one more time at you. The rhythm of your chest slowly moving up and down in complete peace reeled him back in. Link felt a calmness settle upon him at the sight of you.
A Twili in front of my own eyes. Y/N was confirmation that the journey he undertook was real. That it wasn't all a figment of his imagination. His eyes wandered to her hand, which was above the blanket. He slowly returned to the bedside. His fingers hovered riskily above Y/N's hand. Then he snatched them away, appalled at himself.
Goddesses, I need to keep my hands to myself. What is wrong with me? Link recalled how Y/N had said she wanted to try going on a date. A still frame of the ice cream vendor from Castle Town popped into his mind. Then he thought of how Fado and Rusl reacted to her appearance. She could easily have any guy wrapped around her pinky.
I'm getting married. What she does with her time in the light doesn't concern me. Link knew he was lying to himself. A tug of envy was pulling on his heartstrings. He didn't want to admit it, but deep down, he wanted to be the only one who could show you the light.

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU CAN'T GO SHOPPING TODAY?" The sound of screaming punctured the tranquility of the morning silence. You startled awake, trying to take in your surroundings. You were in a bedroom. Light flickered into your room from the rising sun, causing you to instantly shield your eyes. That's when you noticed your hands were the robust s/c that Midna had assigned your Hylian form. You had transformed again. The last thing you remembered was Link holding your hand. Link. The Hero of Twilight. You shot up straight and discarded the blanket on top of you. Another scream made its way into the bedroom.
