The Portal

„WHAT?!", she screamed in panic before bending over, holding her belly, visibly in pain.

Instantly, Emma was by her side and so was Regina herself, jumping up and walking over to her with fast paced steps.

„Have you been having contractions?"

„I don't know", she exhaled through clenched teeth, breathing heavy now, „Maybe?"

„Then why the hell didn't you say so?!"

„How was I supposed to know, I've been having cramps for MONTHS, since Robin disappeared, same as you! Aaaaaaah!"

„Regina, we need to get her to the hospital", said Emma, and Regina nodded.

„Take her. I'll stay here with Killian. We need to get Robin home asap. Tinkerbell, check out the beanstalk and see whether it carries any bean that might be able to create a portal. Once the realms are reunited, we don't have time to wait for him come home in a horse drawn carriage..."

She nodded and left right away. Emma though had a little more trouble with her entrusted protegée.

„I won't go anywhere!", the queen panted, „I'm NOT having this baby! Not without Robin."

„Well, you can and you WILL!", Regina gently placed her hand on her back, „If you have to... You need to stop thinking about yourself now. And trust me... I know it's hard for us, but right now, you have to put your daughter first. You're having a baby... you'll be a mommy again and you will have a child on your own this time."

She smiled and couldn't help but think to herself ‚WE will have a child of our own'... It was the strangest feeling. This baby girl would be her first biological descendant and share her DNA... she might have her eyes, her nose, her hair. Somehow this was her child too, and yet, of course, it wasn't. She was not the mother, but she would be A mother, soon...

Resting her hand on her slightly rounded belly, she watched as Emma escorted her other half out of the room, not screaming anymore, but sheer terror in her eyes.

Then she turned back to her boyfriend's heart that was glowing and beating in front of her.

„Killian!", she called out for him, „Hurry! The queen's distracted fending off the attacks, you need to go for it NOW! We don't have time..."

[Back in the Wishrealm]

Killian frowned when he heard Regina's voice, sounding much more hectic all of a sudden, panicky even.

„What's wrong, love?", he asked, but only got yelled at in response.

„HURRY!!"

Not daring to ask any further, and with one last look confirming that he wasn't on the queen's radar right now, he dashed inside the hut, following Regina's every move that she spelled out for him in the greatest possible detail.

Meanwhile, the Evil Queen was cackling as she was literally playing with Robin's heart in her hand and the others tried to come up with a way to stop her from crushing it at all costs.

But it was all in vein. Somehow, she was anticipating their every move. With one move of her hand she had Snow and David frozen in their movement which left them unable to wield their sword and shoot their arrows, she commanded a flock of vines coming to life to trap Henry, Alice and Robin and ultimately sent Zelena flying through the air as she came charging towards her.

With a broad grin on her face, she turned around to her victim and looked him in the eyes as she was finally about to crush his heart for good.

„Enough of this! Kiss your beautiful wife goodbye... outlaw! I'm afraid she'll have to lose you all over again, the poor thing."
