💙Veronica Sawyer💙

Dear diary,
Yesterday I got invited to be in the most powerful clique in school. Holy shit.

All I did was forge a hall pass, and apparently now I'm.. Beautiful?

The Heathers made me look stunning. I feel really really pretty. Heather Chandler said I have good bone structure.. She got really close to my face too.

Oh.. Heather Chandler is so beautiful, and confident! I would give anything to be like that. I really admire her, not only as a person, but I have also been crushing on her for like a year or two now. She's just so.. Her. And if I'm being so totally honest, I love it.

I am proud to admit that I am in love with Heather Chandler. And now that I'm in her group, I'm closer to her that I've ever been before! I'm so excited.

Of course, she probably wouldn't date a nobody like me ever. I shouldn't get my hopes up, she's literally the straightest person I know of sadly.

It sucks, sure, but I'll be okay I think.

Well, that's just about all for today.

Yours truly,
V.S.

I finished up an entry as I was walking to lunch with Heather Chandler, Heather Duke, and Heather McNamara.

My first day as a Heather. This was so nerve wracking I could almost throw up. Chandler opened the door to the cafeteria and everyone began staring.

Whispers emerged from beyond, well, everywhere!

"Who is she?" Someone said. "Is she a new Heather??" Said someone else.

I walked with the Heathers to their lunch table, and Heather Chandler pointed to the seat next to hers. "Sit down." She demanded.

I hurriedly sat my self down right beside her, my face burning with blush as I did so. "So, how's it feel to be the new talk of the school Veronica?" Heather Chandler asked, a smug smirk emerging on her face.

"It feels... Pretty good actually." I said, struggling not to stumble over my words as I was sitting next to The Heather Chandler. "I know right?!" McNamara said. She was the nicest of the Heathers.

"Right, I nearly forgot. There's a homecoming party at Ram's tonight. You're coming with us, so make sure to be ready by 9:30." Chandler said. I nodded my head.

Heather Chandler's voice is so.. Powerful, to say the least. It can be terrifying sometimes, but I'm sure deep down there's at least a little bit of good in her.

Time skip

It was time for us to leave for the party, and Chandler was giving me a ride. Of course, we had to stop by 7/11 beforehand to get BQ corn nuts for some reason. I walked into the 7/11 and saw some weird ass kid in a trenchcoat. He looked sketchy, so I didn't pay any mind to him.

I just grabbed the corn nuts, payed, and tried heading out the door before a hand was placed on my shoulder. "Greetings and salutations." The trenchcoat boy said. I shrugged his hand off of my shoulder and scowled. "Who are you and what do you want?" I asked.

"Oh, my apologies, the names Jason Dean, or JD for short." He said while reaching out his hand for me to shake. I didn't do it. "Well Jason, I am kind of in a hurry, so if you'd kindly let me leave.." I trailed off.

"Oh yes, of course, go on ahead. I was just gonna ask if you wanted a slushie." He said. "A slushie? If it's free, then sure I'll take one." I said, tapping my foot anxiously. He nodded, walked over to the slushie machine and said, "Did you say cherry, or coke?"

"I didn't. Cherry, please." I responded. He filled the cup with a cherry slushie, and handed it to me. "On the house, have a good night." He said. I nodded and walked back to Chandler's red Porsche.

"Geez what took you so damn long?" She asked, a hint of annoyance in her voice. "Some creepy guy let me have a free cherry slushie. He was talking my Godamned ear of though." I said, handing Chandler the corn nuts.

"You shouldn't take drinks from strangers." Heather said quietly, starting up her car so we could head to the party. I fake gasped. "Heather Chandler cares?! Such a shocker!" I joked. Heather elbowed me in the side really hard. "Ow!" I yelled.

She glared at me for a moment, but her face softened a bit and she laughed a little. My face heated up. Her laugh was actually really.. Cute. I'd never heard Heather Chandler laugh before, it was certainly refreshing to hear.

I think Chandler's a lot better when it's just us. Her, Me, Duke, and McNamara. She's a lot more calm around just us three. Probably because we don't make her feel pressured to be perfect, as we all obviously have our own flaws as well.

I think it's safe to say, I like hanging out with the Heathers. They stick up for each other, despite constantly bickering at school. They'd do anything for each other. I'm glad to be a part of that now.

Without any more words spoken between us, there is  comfortable silence as we drive to the party. I look at Heather for a moment, and am surprised when I see the slightest blush on her face. She's probably just wearing makeup blush, she isn't blushing about you idiot. You're a nobody. My brain tells me.

God. It's always ruining the best moments.
