Kaeya pov

I don't remember exactly who left me at The Winery that day. My memory starts there, for the most part.
I knocked on the door, my face stained with a dull gaze and no hint of happiness. The sun was too bright for me here. Even though it was dawn, and the sun had barely even risen past the horizon, it seemed to scorch the back of my head. I knocked again, the sound of my knuckles echoing through the wooden door. I began to think that there was no one there, until I heard someone clicking the locks undone. Right then and there, the Winery looked so much more ominous than it had a few seconds ago. As the door slowly creaked open, I was seriously considering running. A few tears even pricked my eyes. For all I know, this place could be inhabited by monsters. Or-
Suddenly I felt a hand on my cheek, wiping up my tears. I was so startled that I jumped back, tumbling backwards down the stairs.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you." Said the person in front of me. He opened the door wider, and stepped out into the new sun. Fiery red hair cascaded down his head like a blood filled waterfall, practically glowing with the sunrise.  I didn't know it then, but that fiery hair would be with me to the end.
