Age is Nothing But A Number

Chapter 1: Endings

A Year Ago: 

"Senior year Buck..I can't believe you get to graduate a year early cause you have to many credits." Lola said 

"I know babe.." he said 

"I'll miss your face, but I'll be over at your dorm everyday! You did apply to NYU and other local colleges right?" Lola said 

"Yeah..and out of state ones just to keep my options open Lola you know me. I moved around alot growing up so I don't like staying in one spot long." Bucky said 

Lola made a sad face, and said "Okay." as the bell rang. 

"I'll walk you to class love." Bucky said as he wrapped his arm around his waist. 

Bucky was a military brat until his dad retired 2 years ago, he was now 17 and living with his family in Brooklyn NY. A few months later, when football season had ended all the seniors had chosen where they were would be playing next. 

Lola was only a junior, and was standing in the library with his family as Bucky went to sign his football scholarship to Boston College. Lola wasn't happy about his decison to move to Boston even if it was 3 hours away. 

That night she came over to his house with a box. James let her in once she was upstairs he looked at Winnie. 

"Oh this can't be good." He said 

"No it can't. But she has to understand that sometimes highschool love doesn't always last." Winnie said 

Meanwhile upstairs, Bucky looked at Lola as he took his airpods out after he stood up. He had been doing crunches on the floor. 

"What's with the box?" He said 

"That's your stuff, I'm breaking up with you." She said 

"What? Why?" He said 

"Because you are going away! I thought you would be staying close to home." She said 

"Its 3 hours Lola!" He snapped 

"I meant where I could still see you everyday! So this is over!." She snapped 

"Fine! Excuse me for making a decision about my life and what I want." He said 

She just rolled her eyes as she took off the vintage promise ring he got her and walked out. 

Meanwhile, somewhere in Boston another couple was closing the book on their romance. 

"Troy I'm home..I brought home some dinner." She said as tossed her keys on the coffee table.

She sat down her purse and a bag of food in the kitchen. When she heard noises coming from the bedroom.

"Troy?" She said as she got closer. 

She slowly pushed the door open to see him with two other women. 

As she gasped, she yelled "TROY!" 

All three of them turned their heads towards her, "Willow? I..I can explain.." he said 

She just walked out as she fought tears, and felt disgusted. The two women left and he came into the kitchen. 

"Willow.." he said as he went to caress her arms.

"Don't touch me.." she whispered 

"Willow Im sorry, but I have needs and you won't fulfull them. You won't even sleep in the same bed as me. We have been together 4 years and we are engaged but you still won't let me have your virginity." Troy said

"If you are unhappy then we should break up." She said 

"Willow..Im not saying that. Lets just..have it open for awhile until you are ready." He said 

"I want you to leave, I want you to pack up your shit and leave. I can't even look at you the same or trust you." She said as she took off her engagement ring. 

"Willow don't do this. I love you but. " he said but she walked off with her food. 

That night she cried herself to sleep after he moved all of his stuff out. 

Bucky graduated from his highschool, Lola was there for her sister and pouted when the principal recongized on the football scholarships and said Bucky's name and college he chose. She wouldn't even clap for him during the whole ceremony.
