2 weeks had passed since telling Peter and Helene. They'd been very supportive (almost too supportive to be honest, never leaving her alone!) and now it was time to go to the ultrasound where she'd find out the gender of her baby.
It seemed to Frida like half of Stockholm was going, since Görel, Agnetha, Bjorn, Hans, Helene, Peter and Lotta all wanted to go too. She didn't even know if she was allowed to bring so many people.
"Are you ready Mamma?" Hans called, laying out her breakfast on the table.
"What? Oh yeah, I'm fine!" Frida rubbed the back of her neck, clearly on edge.
"Hey." Hans turned her round so she was facing him, "Everything will go absolutely fine. We'll all love our sibling no matter the gender." He tried to ease her worries.
"It's not that." Frida sighed, picked up a spoon and ate some of her Greek yogurt and berries. "It's just that everyone will be at the scan, and the 1 person who should actually be there isn't." She whispered sadly.
"Benny?" Hans asked, tensing up.
"Who else?" Frida snapped. "Sorry, sorry, I'm sorry- it's just I'm really nervous..." She mumbled tearily.
"It's alright, you were the same with Lotta." Hans hugged his mother tightly."Did I hear my name?" Lotta asked sweetly, sashaying down the stairs.
"You know you did." Hans rolled his eyes.
"Oi, where's my breakfast?" Lotta tapped his shoulder.
"You can get it yourself!" He laughed, sitting down.
"You got it for mamma!" She pouted, kissing Frida's cheek.
"That's because she's pregnant." Hans pointed out the obvious.
"But-" Lotta started, but Frida cut her off.
"Listen you two, I'll make Lotta her breakfast, and both of you learn to grow up." Frida made to get up, but Lotta blocked her way.
"Actually Mamma I'll get it myself, you just rest." She said immediately, racing off to the toaster.
"You should get pregnant more often Mamma, then Lotta will do her own stuff for once!" Hans smirked.
"Don't curse me like that!" Frida giggled, her mind temporarily off the Benny subject. After having her breakfast, Frida went up to get washed and changed. Lotta had run her a bath (which thankfully was still warm) so she didn't have to bother with fiddling with the taps, which was helpful since otherwise her bump would've got in the way. Dipping her body into the water, she rested her hand on her belly and began thinking about how things could've been. How Benny would react....
*****************
Benny couldn't stop himself thinking of her, how they could've been. How things would be like if it was Frida carrying his baby and not Mona. Speaking of Mona, she'd been acting very strange lately; going to the doctors more and more, insisting he bring forth the divorce proceedings, talking about how they would need Peter and Helene's rooms for the baby's things.... Benny found it all rather disconcerting. When he bought up the subject of going to one of her ultrasounds she got all panicked and insisted he carried on with work. However, he decided to surprise her at the doctor's after he'd worked for the morning because, oddly enough, all the other members of ABBA had taken the day off. Even Görel had! Stig was still working (to his knowledge anyway) but he'd been acting very differently with Benny for a while.... almost..... secretively? No, that was silly. Though actually, loads of people had recently, even his own children! And he barely saw Frida anymore, so maybe it was all because of the divorce. He'd have to discuss it with everyone privately.

Frida scrubbed at her hair, working in the shampoo. Today was an important day, so she wanted to look her best. She'd finally find out the gender of her baby, how exciting! Frida would be able to decorate the nursery, make little clothes, it was going to be so fun! It could help take her mind off Benny at least.....
After dunking her head in the water a few times, she decided to get out so she'd have adequate time to get ready. Wrapping herself in a snowy-white robe, she walked across the floor into her bedroom.
"MAMMA, PETE AND LENNIE ARE HERE!" She heard her daughter scream, along with quieter versions of, "Hey Frida." from her stepchildren.
"Hi kids, I'll be down in 10 minutes!" She called back, looking through her closet for something to wear. She'd have to get maternity outfits soon. Frida smiled at the thought.
