Chapter 18

(Y/n) stared down at a cup of water, with a leaf floating in the middle of it. He debated if he was supposed to drink the water or to continue staring at it. Maybe he is supposed to drink it, as the water looks about ready to drip out of the cup. 'Do not DRINK the water! You're such an incompetent moron!' Sukun exclaimed, causing (Y/n) to wince.

Without realizing it, (Y/n)'s hands were already around the glass, emitting Nen. "Ah, I see you want to try it first, (Y/n)" Wing noted nonchalantly. "I... Uh... Sure!" (Y/n) said nervously, as he focused on the glass of water, which started to shake in its place. The water looked like it was supposed to overflow, but then steam came off it, which evaporated it. Due to the instability of the Nen, the cup broke.

"Yikes! What gives?! Are you trying to kill us?" Killua complained as he glared at his brother. "No! I don't know what happened!" (Y/n) exclaimed as he held his hands up as if he were surrendering. "Wait... So what does this mean?" Gon asked as he stared at the glass shards. "Hm... My guess is, is that (Y/n) is an enhancer, but is also a specialist" Wing theorized, though he wasn't certain.

"Alright, who wants to go next?" Wing asked as he proceeded to grab a new cup of water and a leaf. "Oh, I do!" Gon said as he bounced up and down with his hand raised. Once the new glass of water was placed down, Gon placed his hands around it and emitted Nen towards it. They watched in awe as the water slowly overflowed, which earned gasps of surprise from Gon and Zushi.

Next was Zushi, this time, the leaf moved clockwise, which earned a confused hum from Killua. "Woah! The leaf moved!!" (Y/n) exclaimed as he pointed at the leaf. "That movement indicates that Zushi's a Manipulator" Wing explained, unfazed by their reactions. Next was Killua's turn, to say he was excited was an understatement, but it soon turned into disappointment.

"Huh, it's not doing anything" (Y/n) commented as he poked the leaf as if coaxing it to do something. "Wait... Does that mean... I don't have what it takes?" Killua asked nervously. "Oh, no, try tasting the water, Killua" Wing suggested, which prompted all four of his students to taste it. "Hey... I think it might've gotten sweeter" Killua noted as he stared at his finger.

"No... I think that's the leaf talking" (Y/n) theorized while looking up at the ceiling. "Not at all, this is plain water, the leaf would've done nothing to change it. This means that Killua, here, is a Transmuter" Wing explained to the four kids. "Okay, now that the four of you know exactly what kind of aura you're working with. For the next four weeks, I want you four to train until you can make a more pronounced change in the water" Wing instructed.

As instructed, the four trained by continuously focusing their Nen on a cup of water. (Y/n)'s training was the hardest, as he kept breaking his glass of water. After four weeks have passed, they regrouped to showcase their accomplishments. "Killua, you'll go first" Wing decided, wanting to go from the least destructive, so he doesn't have to replace the cup of water.

Since Killua's Nen doesn't make any noticeable changes, Wing can only score him based on taste. "Woah!! It's so sweet!" (Y/n) exclaimed in awe. "You're right, it tastes like honey" Gon added, while Zushi didn't look too happy tasting it. "Excellent, Zushi, you're next" Wing instructed. With a bit of effort, Zushi strained to force his leaf to move a significant amount, but it was a bit disappointing to watch.

"Gah! Huff... That's the best I can do" Zushi said with a defeated sigh. "I think you did great!" (Y/n) reassured while giving Zushi a thumbs up. "Unfortunately, that won't be enough for you to pass" Wing butted in, worsening Zushi's mood. "Next, Gon" Wing said as he looked at Gon. As predicted, the cup broke, as Gon's Nen made the water overflow and cause the glass to break.

"Gah! Stop! Gon, stop!" Wing exclaimed as he attempted to clean up the water. "Alright... Next is (Y/n), give me a moment to get a new glass" Wing said as he made his way to grab another cup. (Y/n) happily emitted his Nen into the glass, which, at first, overflowed and then evaporated before the water hit the table. But, he couldn't stop the glass cup from exploding and evaporating the water completely.

"Ah... Whoops?" (Y/n) said with a nervous chuckle, while looking up at Wing apologetically. "Very good, all right, Gon, Killua, (Y/n), today you three are graduating," Wing said with a proud smile. "Wah?!" The three gasped in awe, while Zushi took a moment to process the information. "We did it, guys!" Gon exclaimed while fist bumping Killua and (Y/n)'s hands.

"Master... Do I graduate too?" Zushi asked a bit hopefully but slightly knew the answer. "You still need to train a little bit longer," Wing said lightly, but in harsher words, it's a no. "Don't worry! If you keep going at it, you can catch up to us!" (Y/n) reassured as he slapped Zushi's back. Which accidentally sent the boy tumbling forward by the strong force, but he was able to balance himself.

After Gon's fight with Hisoka, having lost massively, yet still accomplished his initial goal, they need new plans. "So... Now that we're done here, what's next?" (Y/n) asked curiously. "Well, I'm going back to Whale Island," Gon said without hesitation, confusing the two brothers. "Whale Island?" Killua asked with a confused tilt of his head, while (Y/n) leaned forward to hear Gon's response.

"Yeah, since I was able to 'pay back' Hisoka, I want to go back home and finally show Aunt Mito my Hunter's License" Gon explained to the duo. "I guess I'll come with you," Killua said nonchalantly, interrupting Gon's mumbling, as he had a minute flashback of his home. "How boring! Why would we go to some stupid island?" Sukuna complained, clearly not pleased with the idea.

"Aw, but I wanna tag along!" (Y/n) whined as he pouted. "It's alright (Y/n), we can meet back up when we're done" Killua reassured a bit hesitantly. "If you say so... Don't forget to call! Alright?" (Y/n) exclaimed as he waved his hand, running off away from them. "See you soon!" Gon called out as he waved back at him. "Don't do anything stupid!" Killua yelled earning a giggle from his brother, watching him vanish behind a building.
