Bakugo couldn't help but stare at Midoriya as he watched the boy get a small bowl of kimchi from the lunch lady. They exchanged some words that left each other beaming. It made Bakugo fake gag.
The other bullies had stayed wary of Midoriya. He held more power over them than they initially suspected. Of course, they still treated him like the scum he was. If anything, they got the confidence to treat him like trash since he was participating in "illegal" affairs which they saw firsthand.
Midoriya didn't notice the difference. He allowed it to happen and refrained from ruthlessly murdering anyone who opened their mouth. He'd write his notes, complete his homework in school, spend time with his mother, and head out to his adoptive father whom he loved to annoy.
Midoriya knew he always felt a presence when he went out on patrol. Most of the time it was those random groups of people and locals in the area. He never thought too much about it or gave them the time of day. Other times, Midoriya could feel the difference. It wasn't a simple presence, he felt deliberate stares. It left Midoriya shuddering from the stalkerish chill. Either way, he brushed it off and prepared himself in case it was an enemy.
Aldera Middle School was closed as the teacher's lounge caught on fire and spread across a good portion of the school on Sunday. The fire started because too many computers were plugged into an extension power outlet and it combusted. Students were given a list of required assignments to be finished over the next week or the weeks that the school would be closed. Just like that, everyone was sent the assignments online and school was canceled.
Midoriya spent some time at home whenever Inko was home, but whenever she'd leave he'd go out. Since it was during the day when Midoriya went out he tended to go to the library to read or do research on non-traceable equipment. Then he'd go out to eat or call one of the online friends he made on an All Might forum.
The week was boring and uneventful. The peace let Midoriya know something was wrong and that something was going to go wrong soon. He felt it in the stillness of the world; It was almost like a second sense of his and his radar was screaming danger.
That very night on patrol Midoriya had gotten shot protecting Aizawa. Much to Aizawa's fear, it seemed like it hit a dangerous area and Midoriya was knocked out in less than a minute. Ending the fight, Aizawa called the police to restrain the villains and left the premises immediately. Knowing how bad things would go if he waited any longer, Aizawa picked up the scarily light and pale vigilante and arrived at Recovery Girl's doorstep.
Two hours later Midoriya was healed up and his identity had been discovered. Another hour later Midoriya finally woke up and Aizawa had read through Midoriya's entire file that he obtained from officer Tsukauchi. Thirty minutes later Aizawa and Midoriya were peacefully napping in Aizawa's sleeping bag like father and son while Recovery Girl had already gone to bed. In the morning, Aizawa came to the Midoriya residency to drop off Midoriya and personally apologize to Inko.
Inko invited Aizawa inside and got him some coffee. Midoriya walked over and hugged his mom to console her. She had been nervous and tried not to panic about him not coming home since she saw the note reading he had gone out for the night. She assumed the best. With one glance around the house, Aizawa realized Midoriya didn't have a father present in his life and his mother was probably barely home. The house was close to spotless and seemed rather bare meaning close to no memories were being made. It was no wonder why Midoriya turned to vigilantism besides being discriminated against for his quirkless status.
Aizawa decided to keep Midoriya being a vigilante a secret from the woman as he didn't need to give her another heart attack. He basically explained his status as an underground pro-hero and his job as a teacher at UA. Midoriya obviously knew that and the fanboy phase was slowly ending since being around the hero was second nature.
