Little Mika pov

I woke up with a start, haunted by the nightmares. I shook off the imaginary pain and got dressed. I walked through the empty corridors, alone with my thoughts and gritted my teeth with pain with every step.

"Are you sure you are alright?" Emma asked.

"Yeah. I'm fine"

I jumped down from a supply platform and swung around the island, finding the cafeteria. After I got my rations, Hornet came over and asked something.

"Ya wanna participate in a race?

"Why?"

"Just for funsies. Besides, the gals wanna see your abilities in action."

"No."

"Aww c'mon! I'll even get permission for an interrogation with that siren commander."

This perked my brother and my interests.

"No shit?"

"No shit?"

"Okay fine. I'll get ya both permission from the commander."

"Alright. We're going to get some tools for it.

"Why do you need tools for that?"

"Advanced interrogation techniques."

"Alright then."

After the brief exchange, we brought the knives, rope, and water, along with other miscellaneous stuff.

TIMESKIP

"Why do you need rope again?" Hornet asked.

"Advanced interrogation techniques."

A little while later, we arrived in the chamber. Surprisingly good stuff for a siren. A group of people were standing behind glass while watching this unfold. I lashed the siren to the rope, ready for water boarding, while bro took out the taser.

"Now I'm going to ask you once. Why did you come here?"

Big bro's voice was stern and cold. The siren said nothing. Big bro tossed the taser into the bucket of water and I dropped her into the bucket, electrocuting her for a minute or two, then pulled her out. I then lashed the siren to the pole and started the harsher electrocution. It took a bit of power, but she finally said that they were here to provoke us to fight them. Said it was for an experiment of some sort. We electrocuted her more to try to get more info, but Bismarck chastised us and walked us out.

"Why are you treating her cruelly? We should treat her with equality, not what you were doing."

We just scoffed at the notion.

"You're kidding right?"

But her face remained stern.

"The notion is just a dream in war. Big bro and I are child soldiers. We were injected with the alaya vijnana. He was forced to fight for survival and given measly rations. I went through more painful methods than what you saw in that chamber and experimented on to make me stronger, faster, better even."

I showed her the scars from the multiple years in UNSC spartan program did to me.

"If you want more information, get it from Barbatos"

"Same here."

I then started to walk away but stopped in my tracks.

"Where is the race again?"

"Down on the beach. Anyways, want to grab a drink at our pub?"

I looked at big bro and he nodded.

"Sure."

We walked down the pathway together, talking about all the things we missed together. I then remembered to call Shino down.

A few chaotic moments later . . .

"Ha ha! This is the best day of my life! I got the perfect fit for me too! Wanna go training sometime?"

"Yeah, after you're sober Shino. Might wanna inject a stim in you too."

"Ah, I'm fine. Akihiro! You enjoying yourself?"

"Mm. Let's go train in the mobile workers Mika."

"Mm. Sure. Let's go. You can stay Shino."

"I'mma watch this go down."

We headed down to the beach, the only viable place. I entered the cold hard cockpit and powered it on. Lights and displays flashed to life, engine humming. Me and big bro vs Eugene and Akihiro. They started with a flank attack. We maneuvered around them with ease and doubled up. I pressed them into position and big bro fired. Instant win.

"Damn! I thought we gottem!"

"If"

We came back to the shore in time for the race and the others set everything up along the way. After they set up everything, a red-haired girl took a microphone and introduced herself as San Diego.

"Today's race is specially selected to test the -"

A boom rocked the island and shells came towards me. I did the standard procedure. Dodge, cut in half, and reflect. The shell exploded where it originated from, covering the area with smoke. Two familiar figures stepped out. I sighed.  I thought I taught them better. Planes swarmed around the island, threatening to bomb the ships.

I leaped forwards and pinched their ears, dragging them along with my momentum.

" Why the fuck did you attack this huh? Did you listen to the sirens?"

"You're! You're alive?!?"

"The fuck do you think I am? A ghost?"

"The sirens, they said -"

"What did they say huh?"

"The sirens said they could bring you back to life!"

"FUCK SIRENS! Takao and Hiryuu. I told you to never trust the sirens. How many times have you done this?"

They looked like scolded children. At this point I felt bad for them and decided to find out where the base was. I found out and geared up with big bro. Apparently, all of the shipgirls adore me now. Not in a lover way, which is a good thing. Bengal and Invictus are going to ferry us there and soften up the target. we infiltrate, S.T.E.A.L. all valuable information, and blow the place.

We got out things ready and loaded up.

Sorry bout the long updates. Have been preoccupied with school. I also have a new book coming out after this story is finished, so just stay tuned. Thanks for your patience and I will not let you wait an eternity.(hopefully.) P.S. S.T.E.A.L. is an acronym for Strategic Transfer of Equipment to Alternate Locations.
