As the last dragon faunus in existence, Salamandine has known about Salem's existence but she doesn't know what Salem's planning to beacon academy now that Salamandine saw Cinder and her minions are in the school. Salamandine saw Cinder and her minions walking in the hallway so she decided to give them a piece of her mind.
Salamandine: I know what you're planning in beacon Cinder. And just to let you know, it won't work. So you might as well give up while you're behind. Cinder: you think you can stop me just because you're the last dragon faunus ever? How cute. Salamandine: it's because I'm the last dragon faunus, I can end Salem's curse. Cinder: impossible. Only the silver eyed warriors can do that. Salamandine: no. They're not the only ones. It's only a matter of time before I can end this whole charade that Salem and Ozma has caused.
Timeskip.
Salamandine has found Salem's location. Salem's minions didn't even bothered to get in the way. She found Salem in her throne room.

Salem: so you're the last dragon faunus in existence? I must say I'm impressed that you've made it this far. Salamandine: I'm here to put an end to this charade you and Ozma caused. This war has escalated far worse than it should've been! Don't you feel any emotions to the lives you've taken?! Salem: you have some nerve lecturing me about emotions. I have lost my emotions centuries ago when the brother gods bestowed immortality to me. Salamandine: the brother gods gave you immortality to teach you the value of life. It seems like you've learned nothing. I pity you. So I will relieve you of your curse. Just as Ozma wanted.

Salamandine used her flame breath (fire dragon roar) which caused Salem to suffer first degree burns. Salem tried to use her magic but the burns caused her to flinch in pain. This was the perfect opportunity for Salamandine to strike with her dragon claws imbued in fire. This caused Salem to drop on one knee. Salamandine walked up to Salem, place her hand on Salem's chest and purify the darkness that plagued Salem for so long. Afterwards, Salem's appearance changed.
