DESTINY

Chapter 1: The Beginning

Long ago, 2 children were given special powers to protect what means to them. Neither knew how, neither knew why. They soon became good childhood friends in the future. It was kept a secret as they grew, serving as nothing they ever used. One day after school, their lives changed forever.

Destiny couldn't wait any longer, any longer for its 'genious' plan. The bell rang, everyone was alert.
As all went for a beeline to the front gate of school, my friend, James, and I, hung out at the canteen. Soon came the time for the lunch lady to kick us out, we left straight for the side gate, being that it was the only gate left open. We had nothing to expect. Gio, a small, silent kid in our grade was beating up a graduating student for this year. Something was wrong, though it felt like none of our business, we Serve to protect. And so we did. We walked through a dark alley, dimming the lights as neon lines of aura traced our body. He saw us and his eyes glowed green. We were frightened. Questions raced around our mind. Who is he? Is that who he really is? We got ourselves together and I made the first shot. It hit him directly and I managed to take control of his body. Experimenting with such an unknown power, I moved him around as he stumbled his footing.

James was next. He did a cartwheel, jumped and rolled off the edge of a huge tree branch, generating his power in the process. He threw it like an MLG pro. Hitting the kid on the shoulder and shooting him up the sky. He disappeared in the clouds. He went too far. "Are you insane!?" Nick shouted. James scratched His head. Suddenly the kid returned and landed in the exact spot. Smoke bellowed around like a dark cloud surrounding a monster. Nick and James peeked into it. Green eyes glowed brighter than ever.

Gio's arm slowly rose. We got down in fright. He began to stand up as we backed away. He made an orb. A green one. He seems to
know what he's doing now. It's his turn now...
