37. Together

Cassy:

The rest of our group is already at school when we pull in, including Mike. After we get off the bike,
Jared takes my bag and throws his arm around my shoulder. When the rest of the group sees it, they start to smile one by one.

Then Mike pops up saying, "About fucking time. I gather from the looks of you two, you sorted your shit out," he says, making Jared look at me questioningly.

"Long story," I say, "I'll tell you later," and gets saved by the bell, announcing the start of assembly.

When the boys disappear during break for a quick smoke, the girls corner me and want to hear everything in detail.

"So what happened?" Tanya wants to know.

"Well I went to Mossel Bay with my cousin for the weekend and he planned on going on a run Sunday morning. As it turned out Jared knows the guy who organized the run very well and Keith invited him to join them. We had breakfast on Thesen Island and after that Jared invited me to walk around with him," I tell them.

"Did you ride with him?" Ashley wants to know.

"No with Ruan, but when we rode to Garden of Eden, he asked me to ride with him," I continue to tell them.

"Ooh this is so romantic." Tanya squeals. "So then what happened?"

"He took me into the garden and then he told me about Melissa. About how he felt about what she did to him and then he told me how he feels about me." I say, not really wanting to go into the details.

"Did he tell you he loves you?" Tanya wants to know.

"Not in so many words, but he said he wanted to give what's happening between as a chance," I reply.

"Then what?" She asks.

"Then we spend the rest of the day together. I rode back with him and then my mum invited him for dinner." I give her a watered-down version.

"Did he try anything with you?" Ashley wants to know.

"He kissed me, but we decided to take things slowly," I answer her.

"Wow! He must really be in love with you," Ashley says, "Never thought I'd see the day Jared would willingly take things slowly.

"Does he know you're still a virgin?" Tanya whispers.

"No. I'll deal with that if and when it comes to that," I tell her.

When the guys join us, the topic thankfully changes to the Fundraiser Megapower is having on the last Saturday of the month, in aid of a local school for physically and mentally disabled kids. It's still a month to go, but there's a lot of stuff to organize before then.

Since the guys are all Prospects they have to be there. Justin's bike is at last fixed, so we decided to have a braai at Neil's house the Friday night before the fundraiser, and then we'll all go together to the fundraiser on Saturday.

Besides holding my hand or draping his arm over my shoulder, Jared is the perfect gentleman. Outside of school, he'll take any opportunity to kiss me, but that's how far he goes. We spend a lot of time getting to know each other, and he's even been studying with me.

I saw a whole different side of him then. He's super intelligent and dedicated and knows what he wants to do with his life and is prepared to do what it takes to achieve it.

Spending a lot of time at my house, my parents also got to know him well. By the end of the first month, he's like another child in our house.

I love how he is with my parents. Jared makes time to get to know both of them. He often would sit and talk rugby with my dad, and he even made time to watch a game or two with him.

As for my mum; I think she's more in love with him than I am. Since my mum isn't working at the moment, they got to know each other quite well. He loves her homemade rusks, and she's forever baking more because they don't last long with Jared in the vicinity.

Our two families even had a braai one Saturday afternoon. We invited the rest of our group to join us, and we had a blast swimming and ripping the old people off. Of course, the old people didn't let us get away with it and gave as good as they got.

Over weekends, we mostly spend time with the rest of the group, either lazing around at someone's pool or taking a ride on the bikes. Justin and Ashley also made their relationship official the weekend Jared and I sorted our stuff out.

Every day I spend with Jared, I fall more in love with him. We have the same interests, and things are never forced when we are together. He's super attentive to my needs and always treats me with respect. We laugh a lot, and when we have disagreements, he makes sure we take the time to talk about it.

He has a possessive side to him, but he never makes me feel like I'm his possession. His dominant when he needs to be, but he never makes me feel like I don't have a say. I kind of like his take charge attitude. A woman sure will not be wearing the pants in his house.

The only thing that makes me worried is the fact that he hasn't even tried to go further than just kissing me. I love it when he kisses me, but what if it's not the same for him. It looks like he's enjoying it, but he always pulls back when things get a bit heated. When that happens, he withdraws from me physically.

I've been craving to touch him, but I'm too shy to try and take it further. Why hasn't he tried to go further? I'm starting to feel sexually frustrated. I've been thinking a lot about going all the way with him. I know that if ever there is a guy I want to lose my virginity to, it's Jared. I just need to figure out if he still wants to go further with me.
