Cassy:
My disappointment when I realized Jared was already up only last until I felt the wetness between my legs. I'm slow to put two and two together, but when I do, I'm utterly embarrassed. I've never had a wet dream. Up until now, I didn't even know what it really feels like.
I can still remember what I dreamt about, and I can only hope that I didn't give myself away. I can hear Jared and Neil talking outside. Next to me, Ashley starts to stir.
"Morning, how did you sleep?" she asks when she sees I'm awake.
"Good and you?" I ask.
"Like a log," she replies, slowly sitting up and stretching her arms.
"What time is it?" she asks.
Checking my phone, I say, "6h45."
"We need to get going. The Boere Sports starts at 8h30, and I still want to take a shower," she says while shaking Justin awake.
"What, what's it?" Justin asks, sitting up with a confused look on his face.
When he realizes where he is, he falls back down again.
"It's too early," he groans, pulling the sleeping bag over his head.
"Oh no, buster, we have a competition to win. Get up!" Ashley says while trying to pull the sleeping bag off Justin's head.
"Witch!" he grumbles, sitting up slowly.
She next targets Tanya, but before she gets to her, Tanya says from underneath the sleeping bag, "I'm up."
"How the hell did you know she was coming for you?" I ask Tanya when her head appears from under the sleeping bag.
"Years and years of waking up next to her," she says dramatically.
"Oh, come on, I'm not that bad," Ashley says with indignation.
"You're worse!" Justin and Tanya say at the same time.
Looking at them, I burst out laughing. I'm so lucky I can call these people my friends. I just love spending time with them. Never a dull moment.
Getting our towels and clothes we go outside. Jared and Neil are nowhere in sight, and I'm thankful for that. I'm not yet ready to look him in the eyes.
When we get back, we make some coffee and eat rusks with it. I doubt this will be enough for the guys, but there's still some meat left over from the braai.
Just as Justin staggers out of the tent, Neil and Jared come back from wherever they were. Looking at them already dressed, he mumbles, "You're all fucking nuts," before he finds his way to the showers.
"Good morning ladies," Neil and Justin greet us, ignoring Justin.
"Morning," we chorus.
Neil walks over to Tanya and gives her a proper kiss.
"Are you ready to take on the world my queen?" he asks.
"I am my king," she says and curtsy demurely.
Jared comes over to me and asks, "You ready for today."
"I don't know about ready for today, but I'm definitely ready to have some fun," I say, looking up at him.
"That's my girl. We have some butts to kick today," he says winking at me and my stupid heart misses a beat.
By the time Justin gets back it's almost 8am.
"We need to go bro," Neil says.
"But I still want to eat," Justin whines.
"To late. You snooze you loose," Jared says before walking over to me.
"Come Cassy let's leave these losers behind," he says taking my bag and walking to his bike.
Starting his bike he lets it idle for a bit before he gets on and gestures to me to get on as well.
Checking that I'm sitting he says, "Hold on," before he pulls away.
To the rest of the group he yells, "See ya!" and flips them a bird as he rides off.
I laugh out loud as we ride through the campsite, throwing my hands in the air and then just because I'm so happy, I snuggle up to Jared and enjoy the ride.
