Stiles is a newly wolf. Peter will teasingly call him Nephew Baby Wolf. Derek huffs and nuzzles his mate but Derek still has to keep an eye on him because he still doesn't get it.

"Stiles? STILES!! You don't pee on everything. This path is a path we walk on but it's not ours. So you can't mark it."

Stiles's ears droop but then he huffs and growls in acknowledgment.

🐺

"No! Not the pond! Stiles this is public property no matter how much you love the fish and have named each one. No peeing!"

Stiles pouts and splashes the pond water at his mate before chuffing in amusement and run away as Derek growls and chases after him.

🐺

"Stiles? I ordered your fav-STILES! This was supposed to be a romantic date night here at the point but I promise you we're safe. No need to mark it."

Stiles just grumbles about following instincts.

🐺

"Derek? DEREK! You hypocrite! This grove is—"

"Ours Stiles. It's ours cause we own it and we're gonna spend time here. We'll bring our pack here. Well bring our kids here. So yes. I'm marking it as ours."

"Awwww. Der-Ber!!" Stiles coos. Then he starts marking as well. Derek is not impressed. "Come on. Don't be such a Sourwolf. Now it smells like both of us. No animals will dare to come—" a squirrel leaps across the trees and Stiles glares.

"Oh. No. Huh Uh. Don't even think about it. We are not peeing in the trees."

"What about on them?"

"You know maybe we should get a sign."

Stiles smirks. "Oh yes. I know just the one."

🐺

Derek should've known but he isn't exactly surprised to see: This is Private Property signs everywhere. It makes him smile as he thinks about their first meeting. He's a little more lenient after that and at least the marking has stopped. Well mostly. Derek doesn't mind so much the marks on his body that Stiles possessively makes or the signs that made their way onto their bed and onto their bedroom door.
