Richie checked back at the time that read 6:45, only five minutes before his alarm. He groaned, realizing he didn't sleep at all, climbed back inside and got ready for the day.

His parents only ignored him that morning, must have been a blessing. Went glared at him as he walked past, and Maggie just ignored his presence, not remembering anything from the night before.

School came boring once again, and Richie struggled to stay awake throughout classes. Everyone was back at their lunch tables, but tables 4 and 5 had been moved so that no further fights were to be started.

Richie slammed his head on the table and closed this eyes, within seconds being asleep again.

"What's up with him?" Stanley asked, chuckling.

Eddie shrugged and flicked the back of Richie's head.

"Dipshit, get up," he said, but Richie was already in a deep sleep. Eddie groaned and started to eat, starting up a conversation with everyone else. Sleeping at lunch was never the brightest idea, not to Eddie at least. One of the most important meals of the day was lunch.

Beverly shoved Richie's shoulder, but he didn't wake up. She yelled his name in his ear, still nothing. He was used to sleeping with yelling and noise, which is part of the reason he was able to fall asleep as quick as he did in the cafeteria.

"Just leave him, he probably just didn't get proper sleep last night," Mike said. Beverly nodded, but Eddie still wanted to wake the boy. He needed to try and force him to eat again, because clearly Richie wasn't. You could see his ribs.

When lunch ended, they all attempted to wake Richie up, but nothing was working.

"Maybe he's dead," Ben joked.

Eddie groaned and grabbed the boy's arm, dragging him up from his seat to wake him. Richie only fell back on the floor, still asleep.

"Guess we have to leave him here," Stanley shrugged, and Eddie scoffed.

"How the fuck are we supposed to wake him up?" he asked the clueless group.

People started to stare and snicker as they watched them tried to get Richie up.

Beverly picked the boy up from the floor, holding him up so that their faces were facing each other.

"Rich! Wake the fuck up!" she yelled, lightly smacking his face.

He flinched hard, panting slightly, and looked around him confused.

"What?" he said, only half conscious.

"Look who finally decided to join us," Eddie sneered, and Richie stood properly, rubbing his eyes.

"I'm incredibly confused," Richie laughed and Beverly put an arm around his neck.

"You fell asleep at lunch and wouldn't wake the fuck up, let's go now, off to next class!"

Richie gathered all the information in his half asleep brain and nodded slowly, walking with Beverly as the rest of the group talked and walked behind the two.

The quick nap at lunch didn't do much for Richie, for he still struggled to keep his eyes open. He rested his head on his hand and stared out the window for the entirety of the next class, and the classes that followed that.

"Richard, stay behind class, please," his math teacher spoke, and he looked at her with wide eyes. He nodded and looked back out the window, crossing his fingers she wouldn't tell the principal about his failure to stay awake.

Every student had left except for Richie, and the teacher invited him over to her desk. He walked over tiredly, and pulled up a seat.

"So," she said, clicking her pen, setting it down and folding her hands. "Your grades."
