Well... I'm surprised the Pyramid would do this to me...
Here I was, on Europa, just finishing up my adventures of the Ice Moon and getting ready to leave, but then the Pyramid or whatever dark force starts talking through my ghost to approach another of its Dark Splinters, black diamonds floating in the air, and then, as soon as I approached it, darkness consumed me... or so I thought.
I had started falling from the air of what I believed to be Europa, and before I could start yelling at myself and cursing the Pyramid for doing this to me... it felt not as cold as I was falling.
Like I wasn't near Jupiter at all.
I started looking around frantically as I fell, wondering what was going on before, about three seconds later, crashing down on the surface and dying. Ghost, seconds later, revived me. I still had my weapons on me, but I was still confused...
Me: "Uh, Ghost... where the hell are we?"
He came out of my head, floating above my shoulder and scanning around my area. Soon speaking in the old OS. (Yes, Dinklebot.)
Ghost: "I'm unsure, Y/N... this seems to be a rather similar environment to our Earth, but... different. I don't feel the Skywatch or the beacons placed within the European Dead Zone... the time doesn't seem to consist with the clock I have either."
Me: "Huh? You saying I'm in a whole other system or something?"
Ghost makes a sighing noise before nodding.
Me: "Shit... well... I guess there's only one thing to do. What technology can you find? Anything electric in the vicinity?"
He whirred for a second.
Ghost: "Hm... there only seems to be some computers several miles from here... and since I'm not connected to the Sparrow network, we'll have to do this the long way... hope you don't get tired, Guardian."
He soon disappeared back into my head as I pulled out MIDA Multi-Tool and started running in the direction my Ghost told me to go, gray diamond pointing me southward, and then-
Ghost: "Hold it... I've got movement ahead."
He was right of course. My tracker in my hud started highlighting something in front of me, glowing red... and then it was close, flashing around the triangle that represented me, and then a growl of a black bear with what appeared like a white mask.
Me: "Shit!"
I shouted before putting some shots on it, bullets slowly cracking its mask as it slashed me and weakened my shield slightly. That didn't last long however as soon enough, I had gotten through enough mask to get through to its head and kill it... as soon as it lay dead, Ghost came out again, scanning its remains.
Me: "What..."
Ghost: "Unknown... but traces of Darkness are present in it. I'm not sure how the Darkness could reach such a place though, since I thought the Traveler and its Light have only reached the solar system!"
I looked at the thing as it slowly started to fade away in dust, before not even its skeleton remained.
Me: "Damn... I guess that's one thing we'd have to find out about once we find some sort of information source... how much longer?"
Ghost: "Only a few more miles... I can start to feel more and more of it... what would a city be doing here?"
A city? How strange... but I guess I'll see it when I get to it. I ran along the path I was directed, eventually finding the large city.
Me: "Woah... it's like they've lived here for years without a single threat to them... are these guys like Awoken?"
I looked around and actually saw humans. Not blue-skinned like the Awoken friends I had, but actually skinned like I was. They started staring and I sighed before running off.
