It was the sound of absolute silence, the kind of silence when you are to afraid to speak, to afraid to move and either of those actions would consider you brave even heroic. There was a flicker in the light above the two. They hid right behind the wall before the entrance to the boys bathroom, next to the freshly polished urinals, the floor was a grey marble with white highlights and so were the stalls, except the stalls were a darker grey, the kind of grey to make a dull room pop with the sense of nothing but complete business. The light flickered on again, the two fearing that if the light shut off or stood completely on, the people outside the bathroom would catch the occurrence and come to where they stood hidden and take them hostage just as the other people in the Bank of 93rd and Crawford had been.
Aiden turned his head towards his girlfriend, she was eighteen and she was beautiful. Her long chocolate brown hair, her somewhat pale face, her eyes darker than her hair which made the rest of her even more stunning to look at. Her nose was so round it mimicked that of a button, her lips were perfect the kind of lips that aren't too big nor to small. Perfectly kissable. She had a very slimming figure and she dressed herself very respectively.

Both were dressed respectively, dressed in all black, matching in cardigans and grey undershirts to highlight both of their very slimming figures and somewhat pale skin tones.

Perla looked at her boyfriend who is 19 she immediately regretted everything that she had done to him in the past. He was good to her and what she had done to him was not of the same equivalence. He had dark ruffled hair, his eyes were a light shade of brown, his eyelashes were at a certain length which defined his eyes. His eyebrows were thick and clean, his posture demanding and correct. He wore glasses which did not determine if he was smarter than she was but he was better than she was. He was well maintained and took care of himself, mentally and emotionally. He knew what he wanted and he was content with what he already had.

When he turned his head towards her he became her hero. With the smallest gesture and the greatest risk he became brave in that moment. In that moment for her and she would never forget it, she would have to become brave for him too. Even when the riot happened and they were rescued she realized then she loved him and she hurt him and she couldn't ever fix it the way she wanted to, no matter how many times he accepted her apology she would always be sorry, in this moment he saved her from herself.

Bang Bang Bang

Shots began firing and Aiden wrapped himself around Perla, perfectly engulfing her with him, becoming a shield for her, protecting her no matter what. One by one the sound of the pistol taking another life. The shots were so closely related there had to be more than one gun. Soon the massacre had ended and Aiden removed himself from Perla but not completely, still protecting her more than himself.
"I'm going to go and check." He whispered, the kind of whisper that is so close to the exact sound of nothing, the sound of equal silence that the room had but enough for her to make out of what he was saying. Still she was shocked at the even greater risk he took to speak to her, even in her stomach she began to feel a twist.

Nervousness filled her stomach and the fluttering of the imaginary wings flew around knocking the walls of her insides as she knew she would have to reply to her boyfriends remark. She has to be brave for him too. "Don't go, just wait." She whispered back.
Without hesitation he began his way around the corner wall and just before turning, on his hands and knees like a dog cocked his head and mouthed to his girlfriend. "I love you."
He continued forward down the other hallway, straight across was the entrance to the woman's bathroom and if you turned left there would be a wall parallel to the boys room hallway. Between the two locations was the opening for the bank. He got close enough to the opening to where he could peak his head out to where the murders were. What he saw was a woman, a blonde woman her hair was high in a pony tail and she was wearing black sunglasses, she walked up to the man and gave him a hard kiss. The man stunned at first let go of his bag and kissed her back with equal if not more force. Aiden reconfirmed this man as he had started the riot a week back. He was the cause to him and his girlfriends almost execution.

A slight movement was heard behind Aiden and he snapped his head back to see what was the source of the noise. Perla was on her hands and knees around the corner peaking her head. Startled Aiden demanded her silence. She crawled towards him and laid underneath his arms. Now both of them turned to peak back around the corner and seen the older couple running hand in hand, the man holding two bags of cash in his left hand and holding he wife's with his right, out the front doors of the bank. The doors were all glass and the couple jumped into a red convertible Honda and drove off opposite of the smoke on the horizon and drove onto a street that would lead towards the highway where the sun was still brightest.

"I'm calling the cops." Aiden said. He began dialing. "No we need to get out of here!" Questioned Perla. "No we can't, all these people were murdered we have to stay here in this bathroom and not touch anything until authorities arrive. If not someone will think we did all this and we are not those kind of people!" He yelled at her about this. However he was completely right and she knew it. "Hello, I'd like to call in about a bank robbery and massacre. Me and my girlfriend Perla are hiding in the bathroom of the Bank on 93rd and Crawford." There was silence and then a little murmur on the other line of Aidens iPhone. "Yes the murderers got away in a red Honda, they headed towards the highway." More murmurs. "Yes we will stay put, thank you." He hung up the phone.
"Aiden why." She questioned him. "I don't know Perla, all I know is that this is the last bad thing that's going to happen to us okay. All this is over, Seattle will get back to normal and we can really start over." He reassured her and closes in for a tight hug, he presses himself against her and she embraces him and hugs him even tighter, appreciating him more and more ever time.
"Aiden I have to say something. I'm sorry and I know you have already accepted it but I hurt you, I know I did and you did not deserve that at all. We were different and we still are but that's what makes this worth it and seeing that we have been put in two horrible situations, first with the riot and now with this I just want to say I love you. I really mean it too and it's not just because you have saved my life but because you protected me even when I didn't ask for it, even when I didn't deserve it. You took that chance anyways." Tears began rolling down her face and she didn't try to wipe them away. They rolled down into her mouth settling. "All I can say is I'm sorry I'm so sorry. And I do I do love you." Her voice broke and she just wrapped herself around him and cried and apologized and swore her love to him. He just took her and comforted her and loved her back.
"It's okay Perla, it's okay. I know you are sorry, I know that, we all make mistakes and I understand completely it's not like we can't work with them. No matter what I'm going to be here for you I am going to protect you. Any minute now the cops are going to come and get us and we are going to explain what happened and we are going to get out of here okay. I love you, I'm never going to let anything happen to you."
In minutes the authorities arrived and just like he promised her they were clear to leave. First the were picked up from the bathroom and brought out tithe scene where close to 25 people were all facedown in a circle on the banks emblem, they were asked to restate the entirety of the event and their names and numbers were taken down. Aiden and Perla walked out of that bank together and together they stayed.
