Start All Over Again

Chapter 2

Recap 

Finally, school is over. The weekend is here! I went to my locker and Kyle came over.

"Mikayla, we need to talk."

"Sure babe, what is it?"

"I am breaking up with you."

I can't believe this. Is Kyle really breaking up with me?

"Please tell me this is a joke," I whispered.

"I am breaking up with you, I can't believe you used me like that," Kyle said.

"What do you mean? I wasn't using you."

"Oh really, Dustin told me that you are lesbian. And, I was your cover up," he whispered back,

"First of all, I am not lesbian, second, you believed Dustin? After you know, he is always mean to me." 

Kyle answered back,"Mikayla, just please, I saw a picture. Goodbye."

I ran to my car crying while hearing people say,"Hey Mikayla, you gonna makeout with some girl?" I ran to my car and cryed, wishing this was all a dream. Wishing that I am still in last period and I am just sleeping.

But this was all true, everysingle bit of it. Kyle did breakup with me. Everyone thinks I am a lesbian. I ran upstairs to my room. I felt someone rub my back, "What happened, honey?"

I looked up to see my dad, home from his business trip. "Oh nothing," I said wiping my tears away, "I just tripped over something and it really hurt."

"Oh ok, well remember, we have to go to Uncle Mike's house. There is the family reunion."

Oh yea, the reason why this day is taking a good turn. I love my family. They are so much fun to hang out with. Without them, I don't think today's day would have been good.

I took a shower to wash away the sadness and picked out a white knitted top with floral printed pants. I curled my hair and but my favorite red bow in my hair. I didn't but that much makeup, but I did more of a good girl look. I slipped into my combat boots and looked at myself. Then I remembered, today was the day I was supposed to introduce my whole family to Kyle. I mean, my parents know about him and some of my cousins do, but not the whole family. Since we were dating for 2 years, I decided I should have brought him with me. But, he decided to break up with me the day of the reunion.

I walked out to see my mom and dad ready for me. "So, when is Kyle coming?" My mom asked.

I looked down at my shoes and whispered, "We broke up today." There tears forming in my eyes, which I choked back down. Kyle wasn't worth it. If he couldn't believe me over Dustin, he isn't worth it. 

"Oh my gosh, don't worry about it honey, he wasn't worth your time," my dad said.

I just walked to the car with my wallet and iPhone. I just sat in the car and waited till we got to Uncle Mike's.

We rang the doorbell, and Uncle Mike opens the door, "You guys are just in time for food, and Mikayla, all the kids are upstairs." 

I walked upstairs to hear,"Hey look, it's the lesbian!" I looked to see where the comment came from. Obhviously, it's Brittany. Brittany is my first cousin from my dad's side, who just so happens to go to the same school as me. She also was dating Kyle's best friend. So, she knew what happened. I ignored her, and I walked over to Hannah, my favorite cousin. We were literally twins, but she went to a different school. But when I sat down, she moved a little bit away from me.

"Hey Hannah! Don't sit next to the lesbian! Come sit with us, I heard Jason, Brittany's brother, say to Hannah. Everyone was watching, to see what Hannah would do. I looked over at Hannah to see what she did. I thought that she wouldn't care and ignore them, but she did the unthinkable.

She sat next to Brittany.

I couldn't believe. Even my cousins believe this stuff. How can this picture be so realistic. Hello people, there is something called PHOTOSHOP! I decided to leave, since I wasn't wanted. I told my parents I was going to leave and walked home. It was only a 5minute walk so it didn't really matter. I got home, jumped into my bed and feel asleep.

I woke up to my parents crying. What's going on? Did someone get hurt? I walked downstairs and heard my mom say," How could you do this to us?"

What were they talking about?

"How come you didn't tell us you were a lesbian?" I heard my dad whispered.

I stood there. Watching their sadness as they came towards me. My mom moved her hand up and then I ended up on the floor.

My mom, the one that brought me up, the one that loved me, just slapped me.

I sat there bawling my eyes out, when I heard,"You are allowed to stay here till u go to college, after that, you are not our daughter. Our daughter would not be a homosexual," I heard my dad say.

I looked up at them and ran to my room. I sat there crying my eyes out. But, then I remembered something. I texted Kylie.

M: Hey ur uncle is the headmaster or watvr to nyu rt??

I texted Kylie because I was going to NYU and her uncle happened to be the headmaster or whatever. I didn't know what they call the head in colleges so I am going to go with headmaster. I felt my phone virbrate.

K: Yea. Y???

M: I think I am gonna ask him if I could work there and use the money to go towards my money for school.

K: I have nvr heard of ppl doing that but i'll ask him.

M: Thx!

I hope my plan works. Since no one loves me here. I decided, why not start a new life. But I would still have to keep Alice and Kylie. I am so happy they believe me.

I started to pack my stuff just invade he says yes.

K: Hey, I just talked to him nd he said sure since ya got grades and stuff but u hve to work the remaining semester and start in September and he said u can stay in the dorms he said.

M: OMG Yes!!!!! I am gonna leave today night wen my parents r sleeping.

K: Which reminds me, y r u doing this I told Alice about this 2 nd she is confused 2

M: * sending this 2 Alice 2* My parents have practically disowned me thts y

A: omg.... I am so srry....

K: Me 2.....

M: But need ur help?can u guys go 2walmart nd get those Metro PCS fones tht r like by the minute 1s and like 5of those by the minute cards that's the only thing i need from u guys

K: Alright

A: kks we will go now.

Okay, so now I have a phone, I have a place, everything is going fine. I am taking my car so that's good, too. Now I just have to wait till night time.
