CHAPTER SIX
BERTRAND
I woke up the subsequent morning extremely late. I had slept in for approximately an extra half an hour. The clock read 7:20 AM, September 2nd.
Shit shit shit.
I got out of the clothes I was in yesterday and put on a quick comfy outfit.
The outfit consisted of a blue denim pair of jeans, a white button-up shirt, the same one I had on yesterday. A sweater sat on top of the shirt.
I kissed my mom goodbye and went out of the front door.By The time I was out of the house it had already been 7:38 in the morning.
-"You're so late" "What happened?" Will interrogated.
-" I slept in. I didn't wake up to the sound of my alarm clock going off. I'm sorry you guys. I'm really sorry." I explained.- "Now, because of you we won't be able to get coffee." Sandy said angrily.
-"someone woke up on the wrong side of today" I murmured.
Sandy is the type of person that need to consume caffeine in the morning or their whole mood gets ruined.
"It's alright sandy. You can have some coffee at school."
"It's not that big of a deal" Will and Daisy said successively.
-"But the coffee at school sucks. Thanks a lot, jerk." Sandy argued.
"Watch your language" I warned.
-"what would you do. Hit me" Sandy mocked.-"Damn right I would. Just because I don't stand up to myself in front of Josh doesn't mean I will tolerate your actions." I snapped.
We arrived at school ten minutes late. We thought that we would get away with it but at the last second, the principal's assistant caught us.
"To the principal's office. Right now" she ordered.
" Oh come on, we're only ten minutes late. Can't you just let it slide this one time" will explained.
" It was my fault. I'm the reason they got here late. I'll go to the principal's. By myself. It's my fault after all." I said in their defense. She took a minute to give us a response."Fine, I'll let it slide this one time. Burke, you come with me. The rest of you go back to class." she demanded.
At the principal's office, I started to get extremely dizzy. I wanted to throw up at that moment. I could feel myself losing my balance.FUCK.
It's happening again.
When I got into the principal's office, he asked " Mr. Burke what's the matter here."As I started explaining the situation to the principal I forfeited all my balance.
Before I knew it I had collapsed down to the floor.
The last thing I heard was the principal yelling for someone to call an ambulance.
After that, it all went dark.
