Kao turned to look into the mirror one more time.

She was nervous as hell.

Her phone rang again and she jumped.

"Non!"

[I have been calling for ages.]

"Oh. I was with Cindy. Didn't check my phone."

[No problem. When are you going to start coming to library again?]

"I promise I will start next week."

[You are too distracted nowadays.]

"Non... I am actually quite focused nowadays." Kao chuckled at her own internal joke.

[Whatever... I just miss you.]

"Awww... Let's hang out this weekend ok?"

[Okay.] Kao could hear smile in Nanon's voice.

"Thanks. You are the sweetest."

[Ummm.... Are you done with the assignments?]

"Non, for once, can you stop talking about assignments?"

[...]

"Ok, sorry. But I am actually getting ready to go to a party."

[Oh yeah I know. About that...]

"Non... Can we please talk later? Please? I am getting late."

[Yes but listen to me. I am going to go...]

"Listen. Please. I'll listen to you with a clear head. Ok? We are hanging out on weekend anyway. Right now I am gonna go get ready. Please don't be angry ok? Bye."

She disconnected the call without listening to anything.

"Babe, you are worrying for nothing. Ohm is going to go gaga over you today." Cindy said while adjusting her eye liner.

"You think?" Kao asked nervously biting her lower lip.

"Yes. Now stop doing that, you will ruin your lipstick." Cindy side hugged her.

Kao recalled her conversation with Ohm while looking at herself in the mirror.

"So tonight, can you meet me for a while after the party?" Ohm asked.

"What is it?" Kao asked trying to be clueless while actually she was overjoyed within.

"Just be there. I want to talk to you." Ohm said taking Kao's hand. He sounded desperate, making Kao feel all the butterflies.

"Oh ok." She said as casually as she could.

Kao smiled recalling the conversation while Cindy just chuckled looking at her lost friend and took out her mobile to quickly type a message.

Ohm paced around his room. His friend Perth was looking at him for last five minutes. But he grew out of patience.

"Are you seriously nervous about your birthday party?" Perth asked unable to make sense of it.

"No." Ohm stopped and turned to him.

"Then what is it?"

Ohm took his phone from the table on the side and sat beside Perth.

"Look at this."

"Cindy? Weren't you pursuing Kao?"

"Just read it." Ohm shoved his phone in Perth's hand who read the text message on the screen.
