The Flight.

george pov :

it's the 2nd of october 2022, it's 4am and i've finally arrived at the airport. time to say goodbye to my country, at last.

my flight was at 8am so i still had 4 hours until my flight, i bought some breakfast which took up a good 45 minutes. without much else to do, i sat and watched the planes land and fly by.

- time skip to 8am -

my stomach did somersaults as i heard my flight being called, this was it, in 9 hours i will be in florida with sapnap on my way to the dream team house !!

i'd started a vlog since i got to the airport, i wasn't actually allowed to record the boarding due to people not wanting to be online, i could've blurred them out but i guess i should prioritise them!

as soon as i got on the plane i shown the vlog my seat, dream bought it for me. it could recline into a bed and you could literally put a board up to block out the people next to you, i ordered a few snacks before turning off the camera and going to sleep..

i woke up about 8 hours through the flight, 9 to go! i looked around and noticed a small glass with a bubbling liquid. ah, the free champagne. i grabbed the camera and tried it.

that was vile.

i promised to myself i'd include that in the clip, despite it being extremely over dramatic. before putting on an episode of dreams manhunt for the remaining 50 minutes. that reminded me of all the things i would do in florida, including an irl manhunt with dream. my stomach did yet another flip at the excitement of it all.

i got lost in focus of the video, despite me being in it so knowing exactly what happened and before i knew it, the plain was leaning down slightly.

oh my god.

and just like that, i saw my first glimpse of florida, my new home.

i've always hated the landing part of planes, i plugged my ears with my airpods and pulled out a sweet, or as my country calls it "candy" to suck on.

next came the bit i really hated, hitting the ground.

it had never happened to me, but i still had a huge phobia of landing being bumpy and going wrong. i had no clue where that fear came from but all i knew was i wasn't ready. my breathing got heavy and wobbly while tears pricked my eyes, my palms started sweating uncontrollably. what is wrong with me? okay, time to focus, sapnap can't see me like this..

that's it, sapnap and dream. the reason i was here was to see them, meet dream for the first time and see sapnap again even though we saw eachother only a few weeks ago. my mind filled with thoughts of what we will do together and i started to calm down, we would go to twitch con next weekend, film loads of vlogs, do manhunt irl, dream told me he wanted to steal the "welcome to florida" sign and take photos as a trio, whatever that meant.

we were soon touching the ground and i didn't even worry about it, i would say dream within the next hour, all these years and i get to see that gorgeous face in person.

did i just call his face gorgeous?

i mean it's true, that doesn't have to be romanticised right? friends can think that about their friends can't they? i knew a lot of people thought their friend were pretty but i still didn't believe myself deep down, the butterflies that tangled in my stomach the first time i saw dream weren't just friendly..

by the time i looked out the window again, we had already landed and weren't far off stopping outside the airport. this is it. dream isn't far away now. he will be in my arms before long. i can finally hug my soulmate, after years and years of playing minecraft and sending eachother presents from our continents, we can do that together, we dont have to pay for shipping or wait weeks to find out what we bought eachother, we can hand it to eachother in person. and the dream team hug, and patches, and my new computer waiting for me, and the massive floridian house dream and sap rented. oh my gosh. there's so much to look forward to!

the plane settled to a hault as i gathered my bag and headed off the plane. nobody told me the heat would hit me this suddenly, how will i get used to this?
