I walked up the stairs to get to my room which was at the very end of the hallway. When I entered my room, I opened my desk drawer, and pulled out the letter that I received from my grandfather.
My dearest Y/n,
I am gravely disappointed that I was not there for a longer time period in your life, I wish you got to know me better, I wish I got to know you better. "Two roads diverged in a wood, and I took the one less travelled by, and you made all the difference."
-Tobias Tattersall Hawthorne
That letter repeated in my head over, and, over again, the uses of the pome "Road Not Taken" just didn't sit right with me. There was always more to him.
I quickly scavenged through my desk draw in order to find my backlight, something my grandfather gifted to me when I first joined the games. I flashed the light all over the letter, in hopes of finding something, something that possibly might start a game.
I found nothing, I held it up to the light, nothing, I checked for brail, none, heating it with my hairdryer, no. One last idea piped into my head, water.
I took a photo of either side of my letter with my phone. Then I grabbed my spray bottle and drenched the letter in water, there, on the back, was writing, my grandfathers.
This one is for you.

I knocked on my moms door. "Mom are you in there," I knocked again. "Mom?" I paused "Skye," I said with an annoyed tone.
"Come in sweetheart," I heard my mom say from the inside.
I open her door, and found my mom sitting on her chair. "Do you now anything more about grandmas necklace," I said well holding up the necklace."No not much hunny," she replied.
"Do you know where it was kept, before I inherited it?" I questioned.
"No sorry hunny, maybe try Oren tho."
I left with a sigh, we'll that crashed, greatly.
~💸🦢~
Oren could be anywhere, with Avery obviously. Avery could be anywhere. Nan! Nan is usually listening to the piano at noon.
I made it to the library without bumping into anyone but a few staff, and low and behold, Nan was at the piano listening to her songs.
I walked up to the bench and sat beside her, waiting for the song to finish.
"Good afternoon Nan, sorry to interrupt, but do you know anything about grandmas necklace, that grandpa gifted her?" I questioned with a smile.
"Y/n, dear, if you play for me, I'll give you your answer."
"Very well then." I played one of Nans favourites, when the song came to an end Nan kept her end of the promise.
"My daughters necklace was something she loved so much, it was a gift for there 10th anniversary," she paused to think. "I Never new much more about it."
"Thank you Nan." I said with a smile.
I stood from the piano bench, waved to Nan, then left the room. Well that wasn't really what I was looking for.
I was walking back to my room when I bumped into Eli, he should know where it was kept.
"Hey, Eli, quickly question for you, do you know where my grandmas pearl necklace was kept before I got it?" I asked cheerfully.
"North east jewellery vault," he replied stiffly.
"How can I get into said vault?" I asked.
"There should be someone there," he replied, with a dead tone.
"Thank you," I said, and then I ran off to the vault.
~🦢💸~
I finally made it to the vault, there was two men standing on either side of the vault.
"Can I, please enter the vault?" I spoke.
"What's is your reason for entering, Miss. Hawthorne." The one to the left asked.
"I need to check the rest of my grandmothers pearl collection." I replied.
"Very well then Miss. Hawthorne." He said almost like a robot.
They opened the vault and I was let in with one other security guard, in the room with me. I've never been in this vault, and it was massive. It was at least 50 feet long, jewellery lining every wall, complete with one jewellery stand in the middle and two islands surrounding it.
I quickly spotted the counter with all the pearl jewelry on it. There was an empty necklace stand, which I guessed to be where my grandmas necklace was placed, and beside it was a beautiful pair of matching earrings with 3 pearls on each earring.
I flipped the necklace holder, and there, was a tiny sliver almost like a key hole. I picked up the necklace stand and earrings and walked up to the security guy.
"Excuse me, but can I borrow these?" I asked holding up the necklace holder and earrings.
"You can Miss. Hawthorne but you'll have to sign some paperwork," he responded, I swear these guys don't show any emotion, I guess it's there job.
Gosh, he was right there was a bunch of paperwork that involved signing, writing my phone number which I'm sure they already had, and a bunch of like terms and shit. When I did finally made it to my room I placed the items on my desk, and crashed in to my bed for a nap.
