Y/N's POV

I was walking along the halls of The Hawthorne House, I know I said I wanted to get some fresh air but I just got lost in my thoughts. The only leads I had at the moment was the poem 'The Road Not Taken' in my letter and this tiny piece of paper. With a bunch of gibberish that will hopefully make sense soon. Most likely directions consisting with lefts and rights.

I ended up actually getting to the north garden, by mindlessly wandering. I made my way to a semi-large structure, with open windows and large arches. I usually practiced my fencing in this room. I was always in to the fantasy adventure books. I always wanted to train with a mid-evil times sword instead of my foil sword, it was rather light and flexible.

For my 11th birthday I decided to get myself a custom sword with my $10,000, it only costed around half. I always had fun training with it, or more like playing. I picked up the brown scabbard with gold embroider. The sliver of the sword glimmered in the light. I decided to take my mind off the puzzles and riddles and just practice play on the training dummy's that where scattered around the room.

A couple dozen minutes passed by of me sparing with a motionless training dummy. When all of the sudden I caught a glimpse of a tall man with a black hoodie with the hood over his head that was slightly tilted down.

I supposed it might of been one of my brothers, not Gray tho this person was much taller. Maybe it was Jamie, might of had something bugging him.

"Jamie!" I called.

The man turned his head to me his eyes widened he was wearing a ski mask so I was unable to see the rest of his face. Then he just stared to walk faster. I'm almost 96% sure my brothers wouldn't be... shocked I guess to see me. I don't recall doing anything and I'm almost 99% sure they wouldn't wear a ski mask well walking in the garden.

I followed after the guy, I was not running but not walking, with my sword in my hand, since I didn't have the patience to set it down.
I caught up with him maybe he was a meter ahead, when I reached out for his wrist and I successfully grabbed on. He swatted me away and sent me to the ground.

My sword clattered to the ground "Hey what the heck!" I yelped. I'd fell onto my ankle and it was aching.

He was now running at this point.

I stood up from the stone path picked up my sword and frustratedly walked back to the building, I glanced back but the man was no where in sight.

I was now in search of Oren, in hopes of sending a large security complaint, with a slight limp in my left ankle . At the moment all thoughts of my game had left I was just focusing on finding Oren. I had checked every possible room Avery could be in outside of her room, no luck, kitchen, no luck, east study, no luck.

I was now approaching the north east library. Lucky I heard some conversation happen just through the tall doors. I stepped foot into the door frame. Grayson, Avery, Jameson, and predictably Oren.

"Hey, everyone," I said with a large sarcastic smile. "Oren mind if I have a quick conversation with you? Privately."

"Unfortunately, I am unable to leave Avery's side." He responded glaring back.

I walked over to Oren and grabbed a convenient pad and quill on the desk top and wrote away from anyone's sight, 'What if it involves Avery's safety'. I handed him the pad, he read it the glared back up at me, I responded with raising an eyebrow.
