Lucifer was sprawled across the couch. letting out an exasperated sigh, he opened his eyes to look at the attractive blonde milf-like therapist that sat across from him. She stared at him intently, waiting for a response. Doctor Linda Martin was the best there was. He had been coming to her with nearly all of his problems since he came back to LA. He wouldn't accept anything less than the best.
"Lucifer."
"Hmmm?"
"I asked you a question." She said pointedly.
"Right, well, I guess if I have to answer." He moved into a sitting position, letting his hand run over his stubbled face. "Yes. I guess you could say I care for the de- for Chloe."
"Right. Why don't you just tell her that?"
He looked her directly in the eyes, speaking as if it should be obvious. "Because I'm the Devil, and I simply don't care about people."
"But you just told me-"
"Well that's my problem, Doctor. I have never cared about anyone before. Not in this way, anyways." He crossed his right leg over his left. "I suppose there's a first for everything...."
"I think you should embrace it. This is a good thing, Lucifer. You're finally making progress. Opening up. You're letting her in." Linda smiled at him, matching his posture.
"You're right." He stood immediately. "Thank you, Doctor. Really."
"Where are you going?"
"To tell the Detective how I feel, of course." He spun, exiting the room, leaving Linda shocked and confused.

Chloe sat in her living room, sorting through paperwork for the Davis case. She sighed, she was never going to get through this all by herself. She could call Lucifer, he was her partner after all. She was sure he wouldn't mind at the very least keeping her company. He seemed to enjoy working with her. She looked at the time, it was just after noon. Trixie wouldn't be home from school for a few hours, and Lucifer was probably at home. LUX wasn't too far away. She could make it there and back within the hour, and they would both be here when Trixie got back.
She had been stuck at home for a few days and she was absolutely sick of it. Lucifer had told her to call if she needed anything, and at the moment, she needed a friend.
She stood, stacking her files neatly. Grabbing her keys and wallet, she headed for the door.
Opening the door she was met with a tall figure. She looked up, anxiety beginning to take over. Her eyes met his face. It's Amenadiel.
Amenadiel is Lucifer's brother. She had met him once before at LUX. He was tall, dark and handsome, in a completely different way than Lucifer. A God-like self proclaimed Angel.
"Amenadiel?" She questioned.
"Chloe! It's Lucifer, you have to come quick!" He gave her a panicked look.
"What? I was just on my way to see him. Is he okay?" Her anxiety skyrocketed. She couldn't help it. What had happened with her partner?
"He's been hurt!" Truth be told, there was nothing wrong with Lucifer. Amenadiel had been trying to get his brother back to Hell since he found out he had left. After refusing multiple times, Amenadiel realized he was going to have to dig deeper. He had been watching Lucifer and had noticed something strange. He seemed to have developed feelings for a human. His plan wasn't to hurt her, but to kidnap her. He would never intentionally harm a human, but Lucifer needed to believe that that was his intention. The easiest way to get her to come with him, was to make her believe it was Lucifer that was in danger. "Come quick. We don't have much time!"
