18. A Night with Kimi

I learnt something from Y/n. She's natural and this is how she survived. She make this nature her best friend. Forest is basically a maze. To those who knows well wouldn't get lost. And she made this as her safest home. With Kimi, and Mr. Fireflies she said.

When everyone is well aware of the dangerous the forest has offered. I can understand why she chose to be a loner wolves. Home for her where her mother are in the same roof as her is never called a home.

A horror she has been experienced living with the woman that she should be her protector instead she became the reason her tears fall.

She's strong, even carrying a big bark she collect from the woods to make a bonfire to stay warm. I helped fixing her tree house she admit that she made them long ago before she move to Dawson City. I could take her to stay in the town, but she refused, she wanted to be with Kimi so I let her. This reunion is meant the world for her.

"Whoa, what have you done with the tree house?" She shouted from the ground and I look down to her, putting the big rock I used as hammer.

"I widening the interior so we have more space."

"How do you fine the block?"

"Woods have everything we need." I smile seeing her mesmerized by the house I made for her. Is far from fancy, but hard work is deserved a proper appreciation.

I jumped down and landed in front of her. She shocked, still trying to get used to my superhuman power she never seen before.

"How you like it?" I ask, looking up to the tree house as she do the same.

"It looks like a house, more proper one than the previous one."

"I'll bring the bed and blanket from the jet here so we can sleep warmly at night?"

She make the face that I want to squeeze her cheeks for her cuteness. She clean her hands with her clothes, not caring about the dirt from the barks, and then she wrapped her arms around my neck to hug me. I embrace her small body tighter.

Feeling her slow heartbeat from the top of her head, my hands tracing her hairs, feeling the silky texture of it. She could have run away from me when she knew about me and my entire life. She could have afraid of me, but she casually and willingly stayed with me. As if the fact that I'm a vampires doesn't effect her in anyway. She's content, and trusting, accept the predator I am.

"Let's wait for the bark dry, you want to see the river?" She pull away and looked into my eyes with hope. My own eyes landed on her natural shiny lips. The urge in me wanting to pulled her in a lustful kisses that we shared before we landed. And I felt weird in my body, which I'm not surprised because that what's normal man would feel when he around the woman she likes. Love and lust mixed.

"It's not so far from here." She say again and I smiles, nod at her.

She take my hand in hers as always walk toward a small path that she believed this lead to the river. My sense hear the calm water, the leaves from the low branches that touch the water. The fish swimming low in the bottom as we reach the shore. The water is calm, I check if there's threats like snakes or danger fishes knowing where we are.

To my surprise, she distracting me by standing on the rock and starts undressing. In her mind she wanted to swim and I can understand how tempting the water for us to get in.

"Come on, let's swim."

She startled me from my own imagination. I had a lot these days. She's left wearing her black matching underwear, offering her hand for me to hold. I'm hesitate, not wanting her to get hurt since I don't trust the water could be harmless for her.
