"I never saw it coming, wouldn't have suspected it, I underestimated just who I was dealing with"

I looked in the mirror examining my outfit as Bloom kept tapping her foot on the floor. I flattened out my skirt before fixing my tights.

"I still think this is a bad idea" I said. "No offense, I like Musa and all but are we really going to give him the book for her magic?"

"I don't want to hear it again" she said.

"He could do damaging things with that book, Bloom" I said.

"I know you would do the same for Gwen or Millie" she said.

I ignored her words, pulling on my red boots.

"Do you usually take this long to get ready?" She asked.

"Perfection takes time" I said.

I turned to her, blowing a kiss. I re-tucked in my sweater before we left. We walked towards the Barrier when my phone pinged. I took it out, reading Riven's text.

Riven

  Be safe, I mean it

I tried to hide my smile as Bloom snatched my phone out of my hand. I pointed my finger at her hand as I zapped her with lightning.

"Hey!" She said.

I grabbed my phone back, putting it in my pocket.

"So.. You and Riven are.." she said.

"We haven't really talked about it but um.. yeah?" I said.

"He's kind of an asshole" she said.

"Yeah but he's my asshole" I said.

She laughed as we waited for Sky. Minutes later he walked up with the book.

"Why'd you ask Sebastian to meet in the First World?" He asked.

"Wasn't my idea" I said.

"He seems to like it, given his whole vibe" Bloom said.

I watched the way Sky looked at Bloom, smiling.

"We should go" I said.

Sky looked at me sighing.

"Yeah" he said.

He kissed Bloom as I began to walk away.

"Bri" he said.

I looked over my shoulder as worry coursed through his veins.

"Be careful" he said.

I nodded as Bloom walked though the Barrier. I followed her as the Barrier made a crackling noise, turning purple before going back to its clear state. Bloom put her hand to as it blocked her from going through it.

"It's solid" she said.

"Great" I said.

"Bri, I'll support you no matter what you do, but-" Sky said.

"I know you're worried but we'll be fine" I said.

"He's dangerous" he said.

"Sky, we're both more powerful than him" I sighed. "I promise-"

"No! You can't promise that!" He said. "I told you, you can't promise that."

He was right.. I couldn't promise that.

"Until the end?" I said.

He scoffed before smiling.

"Until the end" he said.
