Amelia walked down the hall, headed to her locker. She felt a hand land on her shoulder, she whipped her head around to see Wyatt, one of her best friends. "Really Wyatt?" Amelia asked, turning her head forward. "Yes really!" Wyatt chuckled. Amelia shook her head. Her long black, purple, red, and blue hair waved lightly. "By any chance have you seen-" Wyatt had started but was cut off. "Hey guys!" A voice called from the library. It was Brandon. Amelia chuckled for a second knowing Wyatt was going to ask where Brandon was. "Brandon, have you seen my glasses anywhere?" Amelia asked. "You mean these?" He chuckled, holding light blue glasses. "Yes, thank you." Amelia said sarcastically as she grabbed them and put them on. "Where'd you find them?" Amelia asked. "You probably left them in the library earlier." Brandon gestured to the library.
Amelia remembers the day she met her friends very clearly; they were in grade one and Amelia saw Brandon needed help with something. Being the nice girl she was, she helped him. That day at lunch, Amelia, Brandon, Wyatt, Rhett, and Gage hung out. Over time they became best friends and never left each other's side. Amelia used to be nice and caring, she is still caring, but only to her friends. Other than that, she is aggressive to other people. Vicious like a snake. Pull the wrong string and someone might end up dead.
Amelia smiled. "I should probably get to my locker." Amelia tilted her head, taking a step forward. "Yeah, so should we." Brandon stepped back, toward Wyatt. Amelia walked off and went to her locker. Brandon and Wyatt on the other hand, stayed where they were. "Hey cutie!" Called a voice walking up behind Amelia. It was not Brandon or Wyatt, they would never call her that, unless they would like to get a punch to the face. It was Jason, a kid that has always liked Amelia, but she despises him. "Don't call me that!" Amelia grumbled under her breath. "Aw, don't act like you hate me!" Jason kept going. "Matter of a fact, I do hate you." Amelia spoke up. "Is the bunny mad?" Jason laughed. Amelia turned and gripped Jason's shirt, making him lean down. "Listen here Jason, if we were not in school, you would be dead already. Is that understood?" Amelia snapped. In the distance she saw Brandon and Wyatt, they knew she was like this to Jason, so she did not care. She let go of Jason's shirt and walked away.
Amelia walked into her Spanish class and sat down. "Does anybody know what uncle and aunt is in Spanish?" The teacher called out. Amelia raised her hand. "I bet you she doesn't even know!" Other kids chuckled behind her. "Amelia?" The teacher called. "Tío is uncle and Tía is aunt." Amelia continued. "Correct!" The teacher wrote down on her clipboard who pays attention and who does not. "You kids should take some notes, Amelia has been a straight A student since Kindergarten." The teacher stated. The other kids immediately fell silent. Amelia straightened her back and smiled. Amelia was the only one of her friends to speak and understand Spanish. Once lunch came, Amelia headed to her locker and put her binder and pencil case away. Wyatt's locker just so happens to be right next to hers. Wyatt walked up and unlocked his locker and put his stuff away. "Do you have any food?" Wyatt asked. "No, you know I never have food." Amelia said. "And whose fault do you think that is?" Wyatt said sarcastically as he closed his locker. "My parents." Amelia tilted her head as it was obvious to her friends. Amelia's parents are never home and so they do not have money to buy food. But when they are home, they are just rude toward Amelia. Her brother, Ali, is their favourite child.
Once they got outside, they found Gage, Brandon, and Rhett sitting under the apple tree in the school yard. They walked up and sat down as well. "Neither of you have food, really?" Rhett looked at Amelia and Wyatt. "I never do Rhett." She snarled. "And you know I prefer to buy food from the canteen." Wyatt turned his head to Rhett. "Rhett, you always forget that." Brandon put his food back in his lunch. "Well, Ima get some food from the canteen, Amelia, do you want anything?" Wyatt asked standing up. "Just an Iced Tea..." Amelia said. Whilst Wyatt was gone, Jason decided to annoy everyone again. "Hey cutie-pie!" Jason called. "I told you to stop calling me that!" Amelia snapped. "Aw why not?" Jason asked sarcastically. "Oh, for god's sake Jason, just leave Amelia alone." Gage shouted calmly. "Oh, shut up Gage!" Jason shouted back. Amelia sat there clenching her fist, wanting to do something that could get her into detention. "Jason just shut the fuck up! I have said many times that I hate you! Just leave me alone!" Amelia shouted; she was sure that the kids on the other side of the school yard heard her yelling so loud.
