Hello, my name is Emma. I grew up in the city, I have always been more of a country type girl though. I am fourteen years old, I had a great life and "family" until I found out that I was kidnapped. Here is how it all started..
Basically, I was doing my homework on the computer and I found this website that said missing child with my first, middle and last name. Now, what would you do if you saw something like that? I clicked on it, ME! It was a picture of me at five years old. At this point in time, I just don't know what to do with myself. So I decided I would just go to bed.
The next morning, I went downstairs to eat breakfast. My "parents" were acting like everything was okay. It isn't. Well, I don't have a plan yet so I also had to act like everything was okay. I finished my breakfast, brushed ny teeth and got ready for school. I waited for my bestfriends outside so that we could walk to the bus stop together. I wanted to tell them what I found but I didn't know if it was a good idea or not. My girl bestfriend is Julia, She has blonde, short hair. Actually, her hair is more of a brunette color with blonde highlights, she's my age. We have been friends since we were seven years old. My other bestfriend is Josh, he has long, brown, straight hair. He's a year older than us (15) he's a bit taller than Julia and I. Back to the story now, we were standing at the bus stop and I decided I was going to tell them. As we got on the bus, we went all the way to the back. I sat with Josh and Julia sat with a new girl named Anna.
"Josh I have to tell you something really important." I said.
"What is it Emm? Are you okay?" Josh asked.
"I think I'm okay for now but I need to tell you and Julia at the same time" I explained to him.
"Okay, I'll be over after school, call Julia over too." Josh said as we walked off the bus.
Julia walked with me to class and I told her to come over after school because I had something important to tell her she agreed.
Julia walked Anna home, Josh and I rode the bus. A few minutes after Josh got to my house is when Julia showed up. I told my parents we were going to my room to do homework. I pulled out my laptop and brought up the screen that said missing child with my picture. Josh and Julia were completely silent.
"What do I do?" I asked, scared.
Julia just walked up and hugged me.
"I am so sorry Emm, are you okay?" Josh asked knowingly.
Julia stopped hugging me and sat on my bed. Her blue eyes staring towards my white wall, her hand placed flat in my pink and blue polka dot blanket.
"What's wrong Jules?" I asked curiously.
"We should run away." Julia blurted.
Josh and I stared at her
"I'm serious guys. Look, I live with my grandparents who barely let me do anything, I never see my dad and I hardly ever see my mom, my brother is in jail so there is no reason for me or Emma to stay here. Josh, your mom is a drug addict and your dad beats you, why should you stay?" Julia exclaimed.
We sat in silence for awhile, we finally decided we are going to run away.
