Dilucs POV:

(His mind)

It's been days. Who was I kidding? It's been weeks. And I still haven't seen that bard anywhere. I miss his eyes, songs, voice, taste. Everything that he was I miss. Even his annoying cockiness. What was I even kidding? It wasn't annoying it was funny and sweet.. Ugh I can't get him out of my head damn it!

(No longer in his mind)

I get out of bed and rush my clothes on. But as I do I smell a familiar sent.. flowers, dandelion wine, and apples.. I rush outside just to see no one there. I saw some feet tracks though and even though my brain said to go to work my heart had decided for me.

If your wondering what happened with the girl? Yeah. She was a hypnotist who put a spell on me and made me feel what I felt for venti for her. God she was so fucking annoying. And now I just needed to explain to venti what happened.

It's been hours. He keeps on smelling the same sent and following trails until he saw hooded figure beside a tree with a lyre singing..

It was a rather peaceful melody. Calm and slow just as venti always played. He could feel himself gettin sleepy as he slowly walked to the figure and sat next to him.

"Wait.. venti..?"

Ventis POV:

I heard a voice next to me and I turned to see master diluc. I wanted to run, hide, cry, scream at him but I couldn't bring myself to do any of that.. instead I just hugged him tightly.

After a few minutes of us hugging I could hear almost silent sobs coming from diluc. "Are you.. crying?" I could hear him chuckle almost silently "it's that obvious isn't it..?"

We both slowly pull away and he wipes his tears. "Please, venti just let me explain. You can ignore me right after but please.." after a few moments I slowly nod and hear him explain.

The whole story.

No one's POV:

Venti starts to tear up at the realization that diluc never betrayed him. He sobbed for awhile before diluc pulled him in for a tight hug. "Did you miss me master diluc..?" Diluc couldn't help but chuckle hearing that. "I missed you so much venti.."

Venti lightly giggles under his breath and slowly drifts to sleep in the comfort of dilucs arms. Soon diluc falls asleep to and they lay together, under the moonlight, happy..
