"I think she's/he's waking up, Sunny!" You heard Clay loud whisper. You blinked over your eyes.

"Uggggg, my head feels like it's on fire and " You groaned.

"Do you want me to knock you out again?" Sunny whispered.

"Wait." You starred into Sunny's beautiful moss coloured eyes. "How many times have you knocked me out?"

"Oh, around five or-" Clay started, but stopped once seeing the death glare on Sunny's face.

"FIVE! Wait, what time is it, dinner time?" You looked around, searching for a window.

"Yeah, dinner time. Dinner time tomorrow." Everest mumbled. You gasped. The next day! I missed the first day of school...

"You didn't miss much." Your head snapped to the doorway, where Moon was leaning against the doorframe.

"Moon, what did we talk about? We don't want to scare the new students with your-" Sunny was interrupted.

"Umm, what are you all talking about? Is there something wrong with Moon?" You skeptically studied Moon, looking for some sort of sickness. Moon wore a very hurt expression.

"Erm, it's nothing, she umm, has a sickness-" Sunny stopped "Really?" She turned towards Moon. She sounded like she was speaking to her, but she hadn't said anything...

"I can tell them." Moon stepped closer, clearing her throat, "Everest, y/n, I'm a mind reader."

You and Everest gasped. That explains everything!! You thought.

"So, were you once moonborn?? I love learning about Nightwings the most out of all the tribes!" You smiled at Moon. "I found this amazing scroll with the updated history on the Nightwings! It has a map and everything!"

"A map?" Moon and Everest perked up, and Sunny looked a little worried.

"Where is it? May I see?" Moon seemed very eager and disappointed at the same time.

"Sure, but it has the wrong place marked up. It's says it's on the talon peninsula and-" You had picked up the scroll beside your bed, and while you were talking Everest snatched it out of your hand, hissed, and fled the room.

"Urmm, what's her problem??" You watched Sunny, hoping for a reaction.

"No, no. Not again." Moon whispered, than closed her eyes and crumpled into a seizure.

"What's going on?? I thought she was only once moonborn!" You paniced, but Sunny seemed to remain calm and controlled.

"What's happening?" A very groggy Turtle was stirring beside her. Thwip. The knockout dart landed swiftly on Turtle neck, and he slumped back onto the slate. You gawked at Sunny.

"What? I didn't want two panicked students in this very tight space." You relaxed.

"What kind of sickness do we have anyway?" You asked

"Clay thinks it's some kind of scavan- human sickness. And Moon is actually twice moonborn, and her mindreading is stronger." Sunny calmly remarked, but she secrestly sounded worried for Moon.

"My head..." Moon groaned. "It's- prophacy-" She was gasping for air, trying to keep from trembling.

"Not another prophacy." Sunny groaned.

"Two siblings lost at birth,

One at a peak, one in the skys,

Both trying to prove their worth,

And they need each other to try.

Find the one who befriends the humans,

Find the one with infinite fire,

Help the Nightwings understand,

Or the Scorching will return, but colder.

Bring these siblings together at last,

The school needs it.

So fix the past,

And let Night and Ice live at peace."

Moon closed her eyes and her breathing slowed, almost falling asleep.

"Siblings lost at birth... At a peak... Do you think? No, maybe..." Clay was pacing, mumbling some lines of the prophacy.

You blinked at Moon. My first prophacy!!! And I heard it from one of my friends!! Or at least a friend-to-be...

Turtle waas stirring again. You peered suspiciously at Sunny. I wounder if there are different kinds of knockout dart, ones that last for a long time and ones that last for a shorter time. I'll ask Clay about it in Herbs and Healing class tomorrow.

Turtle's moaning snapped you back to reality. Sunny ran to his side and started to apply some sort of minty smelling rub on his neck.

Peril came into the doorway. "Umm, y/n, is Moon in here? She is supposed to be in the Art Cave. We are doing painting. They finaly made some stone brushed, so I can paint too!"

"What about me? And Turtle??" You remarked sadly, feeling left out. Peril blinked at you, confused.

"You and Turtle are excused from classes or the rest of the day. Clay said he wanted to study yo- I mean, he wanted you to, um, get better! And, uh, not spread the sickness..." Peril studied her talons, then slowly inched away from Turtle and you.

"Moon, coming?" She peered around the corner. She gasped at the sight of Moon trembling in a ball.

"I'm fin-" You fell into a coughing fit and crumpled on the slate.

"Your not fine. Here." Sunny grabbed the container of minty scented rub and applied it to your neck. You hated to admit it, but you did feel terrible and the minty rub was helping. Instead of admiting it, you just put on a face of anger for being treated this way and offered a comprimise.

"How about this," You started. "Me and Peril will check out the library, and those new stone-pressed scrolls. What do you call them? Tablets!" Come ON! Get to the point! You thought. You felt a little better when you saw the huge grin on Peril's face.

"And Sunny, Clay, and Moon can try decoding the prophacy." Perils frowned. You just realized that she was right beside Clay, almost touching him. How is he doing that????

"Sure, sounds good." Moon said absentmindly.

"Sounds like a plan!" Sunny said.

"What prophacy!? I thought we were done with those!" Peril exclaimed.

"It's not important! Let's go read about, er, something!" You grabbed Peril's wrist a pulled her out the door and towards the library.

"Hi Starflight!" You greeted him as you walked through the door. You pulled her all the way to the history section. You sat down, tired of running down the halls. Peril and Starflight were gawking at you.

"How- how did you do that??" Peril stamered, staring at her wrist. You gasped. Peril's gaze snapped to you.

"Fire proof scales."
