As Cloud awoke he found himself in the wizardry chamber not in his chamber. When he looked up

he saw Racton 's face smiling down at him.

"Get up" he said chuckling a bit. Cloud stood up quickly obeying his father's orders.

"So shall we begin the training" Cloud smirked. Racton asked Cloud what he would like to start with. Cloud decided to start with wizardry. They walked over to the wand making table.

"It is quite easy to cast a spell. First chose a wand that suits you"Racton explained as he picked a fine silver wand and it shined in his hand "also remember if you get good enough you won't have to use a wand." The wand in his hand suddenly dissapeared and then reappeared a minute later.

"Now let's find your wand. Each wand has a specific element. Go and try the elemental wands" he ordered. Cloud eagerly walked over to the table. First he tried an elemental leaf wand and it shimmered a little.

"That's not the right one it has to glow so brightly that you feel it in your very soul. " Racton corrected. Cloud kept trying elemental wands they all had the same reaction.

"What do I try now" Cloud asked.

"You try the legendary element wands" the gray haired wizard said happily . He opened a drawer in the wand making table and pulled out a box.

The box was covered in a thin red fur like a carpet. It had a strange symbol on it the Cloud had never seen. Racton opened the box which contained six more wands. He identified them as dark, light, mythical, and their ancient variations.

Cloud tried dark first and it showed no glisten at all. Next up was mythical and he got a small shine. Then tried the ancient of both and got the same results as the regular ones.

He sighed "will I ever find one that's right"Cloud thought.

Immediately his mind was so focused on the light wands it was as if they were calling to him. He carefully reached out and picked up the light wand. It glowed very brightly but not enough then he tried the ancient light one it glowed as bright as the sun. "Close, but still not the one" Racton frowned.

"What about those wands over there"Cloud said as he pointed to a green box on the top shelve of the cabinet.

"Oh yes the combination wands" Racton said still sounding a little down

"Can I try the ancient light and fire one"Cloud asked still wanting to find a proper wand.

"I guess it won't hurt to try"Racton sighed and grabbed a wand that had a huge crack in the middle filled with ever-lasting white fire. As Cloud touched it a huge light soared across the room. The only thing you could compare it to was the brightest star. "Now that's your wand" Racton exclaimed "Next set your mind on a spell don't say it. Only think, then fire it at one of the training dummies in the corner if you can do this I can already promote you to novice." Racton explained.

Cloud thought of his favourite spell one that shot a fireball. An orb of light and fire blew the dummy to pieces.

"Well done, son I will write a note to the Acadamy to promote your lessons to novice. You really do have my talent. If only your mother could see you now." Racton ended with a sigh.

Cloud was surprised his Dad was openly talking about his mom. The last time he did that was when Cloud found out what happened to her. He decided to take advantage of the moment. "Father I have a question I've been meaning to ask you" He started hoping his plan would work.

"You can ask me anything" Racton responded

"What exactly did happen to Mom. Why don't you ever talk about her."

"She died in a carriage accident while she was on the way to see her parents. I never talk about her or have any paintings of her because it's just to painful."

"I'm so sorry."

Cloud now realized that his father suffered from one of the worst things ever. A broken heart. There was a moment of silence.

"Shall we continue with sword fighting." Cloud asked.

"Yes we shall commence immediately."

They left the wizardry chamber and headed for the training grounds. A few people gave Cloud suspicious looks because of yesterday's events. Luckily the training grounds were vacant when they arrived. Racton asked for Cloud to show his current skill to him. Cloud drew his iron sword and took a couple of deep breathes. He cut a couple of of marks into the training dummy he was using. Then glanced at his father quickly to evaluate his facial expression. His evaluation told him that his father thought the skills he demonstrated were average for his age. But cloud wasn't satisfied with his fathers evaluation. He wanted to truly impress his father. He summoned all of his sorcery and channeled it into his sword arm.

Cloud had read an ancient book in the Royal Library. Which is exclusive to the Royal Family and a few elite knights. That told him that a swordsman with a high talent in magic could channel energy into his or her blade. Energo is what the ability was called. It is usually a ranged attack but can increase your skills in certain areas. For example archers use it to enhance vision so they have a better aim. The only drawback of the ability is that it uses your energy. So as you use it you get tired quicker than you would if you were using plain sword fighting

Cloud felt the surge of power from his body flow into the sword. He took approximately ten steps back from the straw and leather dummy. Then swung his sword down vertically with the charged power. A lime green curved streak of energy soared were the sword had cut the air. The beam quickly cut the dummy in half diagonally. Cloud was amazed at what he had just did. Some knights couldn't even use Energo in the form of a beam. This time cloud didn't even try to hide his glance at his father for approval. A wide grin spread across the King's face. Cloud had impressed his father and was very proud of himself. He had showed that he could live up to his father's expectations.

"Well done. You have impressed me once again. Shall we go and celebrate with a tea?" he asked

"Yeah I'd like a tea right now." he replied realizing how much energy Energo took.
